Congratulations to Foster boys soccer ST/CB Nicholas Arellano for being voted SBLive’s Texas High School Athlete of the Week for March 28-April 3!

The senior scored the game-tying goal in regulation and the winning kick in penalty kicks to lead Foster past Wisdom in the Region III-5A quarterfinal.

Arellano received 51.3% of the vote, beating out Brock's Cale Bramblet who finished second with 34.1%. Melissa's Bryton Wright finished third with 5.22% and Foster's Kaitlyn Walsh finished fourth with 3.76%. There were over 26,000 votes tallied this week!

Ryne Rodriguez, Trinity Valley baseball: Rodriguez tossed a no-hitter and struck out 14 batters against Country Day.

Sawyer Strosnider, Brock baseball: Went a perfect 2-for-2 at the plate with a double and four RBIs, and struck out eight batters in four innings pitched against Dublin.

Jordan Dehoyos, Boswell baseball: Dehoyos had a double and three RBIs-including the game-winning RBI against Chisholm.

Cale Bramblett, Brock boys track & field: The sophomore posted a personal record in the pole vault with 15'0 at the Peaster Greyhound Relays.

Logan Taylor, Centennial baseball: The junior struck out 14 batters and allowed only three hits in seven innings pitched against Crowley.

Bynum Martinez, Birdville baseball: The junior had a double, four RBIs, and a grand slam in a 10-2 win over Grapevine.

Ryan Ott, Arlington baseball: The sophomore pitcher threw a no-hitter with four strikeouts in five innings pitched against Sam.

Natalie Cook, Flower Mound girls track & field: The Oklahoma State commit broke the high school national record in the girls 5,000 meters with a time of 15:25.93 at the Stanford Invitational.

Maddie McKee, Lake Creek softball: The LSU commit had a double, two RBIs, scored four runs, and stole four bases in Lake Creek's 13-2 district win against New Caney.

Kaitlyn Walsh, Foster girls soccer: Walsh scored a goal in the Lady Falcons' 2-0 shut-out win against Santa Fe - advancing to Round 4 of the playoffs for the second year in a row.

Angela Hamilton, Prosper softball: Hamilton went 3-for-4 at the plate with two doubles and had five RBIs against Little Elm.

McKinley Swaim, Colleyville Heritage softball: The freshman struck out 23 batters in 12 innings pitched across a two-game win span.

Alli Stidham, Boswell softball: The Gardner Webb commit recorded 23 strikeouts in 12 innings pitched across a two-game win span.

Bryton Wright, Melissa softball: Wright went 3-for-4 at the plate with three home runs - including a grand slam in a dominant 23-1 win against Anna.

Dee McClarity, Sachse softball: The Texas Tech commit had four home runs and eight RBIs in a dominant 22-0 win against South Garland.
