SOFTBALL

Jules Garcia, Weslaco: Garcia hit two home runs to lift Weslaco to a run-rule 14-4 victory over San Antonio Holmes. With the win, Weslaco advances to the 6A regional quarterfinals.

Katie McBride, London: McBride went 3-for-4 at the plate with two RBIs and scored two runs in the Lady Pirates' dominant 23-2 win over Santa Rosa in game one of the 3A area championship series.

Cailey Slade, Forney: In a two-game area round playoff sweep against Longview, the freshman struck out 20 batters and only allowed two runs in 14 innings pitched. 

Isabella Bojkovic, Timber Creek: Bojkovic went 3-for-5 at the plate with two home runs, three RBIs, and scored three runs in an area championship win over Eastwood. 

Josie Copeland, Northwest: Copeland went a perfect 9-for-9 at the plate with a home run, two doubles, and had six RBIs against Saginaw.

Jensin Hall, Frisco Heritage: Hall tossed a five-inning no-hitter with 13 strikeouts-including the 500th of her high school career- and also went 3-for-3 at the plate with a pair of RBIs in a shutout 18-0 area title win against W.T. White.

BASEBALL

Josh Torres, Laredo Alexander: Torres went 2-for-3 with two RBIs in an 8-1 opening game Class 6A bi-district playoff victory over San Antonio Taft.

Will Boylan, Coppell: The senior right-hander struck out 12 batters and tossed five scoreless innings in a 6A bi-district playoff series sweep against McKinney Boyd.

Hayden Roop, South Grand Prairie: Roop went 2-for-4 at the plate with four RBIs and had a two-run home run in a run-rule 17-0 playoff win against MacArthur. 

Jack Madigan, Creekview: Madigan went a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate with three singles, an RBI triple, and scored the game-winning run to lead Creekview past Adamson in game three of their bi-district series and into the area round. 

Jaxon Kirkhuff, Rowlett: Kirkhuff tossed a complete-game with five strikeouts in an 11-4 victory over Rockwall.

Griffin Herring, Southlake Carroll: The LSU commit tossed a complete-game with 15 strikeouts and only allowed three hits in a 3-0 playoff win over LD Bell.
