Look: Sinton wins 28th straight game, advances to Texas 4A Region IV baseball championship

BEEVILLE - Blake Mitchell homered and picked up the win on the mound to lift Sinton to an 11-0 victory over Tuloso-Midway in a one-game Texas Class 4A, Region IV semifinal baseball game on Friday night.

The win avenged Sinton's only loss of the season as the Pirates won their 28th consecutive game and improved to 33-1. Sinton will play the winner of Boerne vs. Calallen for the Region IV baseball championship next week.

Jaquae Stewart, a Houston Baptist commit, also homered for Sinton. Mitchell, who is committed to LSU, hit a solo homer in the sixth inning. Combined with Rene Galvan's RBI double, it gave Sinton an 11-0 lead and ended the game in six innings.
