North Shore (5-0, 2-0) has been rolling to start the 2022 season. The Mustangs are averaging nearly 50 points per game, and have yet to allow an opponent to score more than 25 points. They have shutout the other team in two of their first five games and held one other to just three points.

In the past two weeks, North Shore has outscored its opposition to a tune of 100-3.

Last week, the Mustangs needed senior wide receiver and UTSA commit David Amador to fill in at quarterback, and the senior wideout didn't miss a beat. He accounted for three touchdowns, and the North Shore defense played lights out to secure a 38-3 blowout win over district rival C.E. King on Thursday night.

Summer Creek (3-2, 2-1) might be 3-2 on the year, but both of the games the Bulldogs dropped were decided by four points or less. The lost to Klein Cain 28-24 in Week 1, then fell to Klein Collins 20-17 two weeks later.

Since then, Summer Creek tallied a 69-0 blowout win over West Brook, then doubled up Humble last week with a 28-14 victory.

Now, the Bulldogs will look to avenge their first two losses by putting an end to North Shore's chances of competing for a national championship this year.

To do so, they will have to perform better than they did last year when these two met, when the Mustangs were dominated by North Shore in a 45-16 loss.

North Shore is the favorite in this game, but look for Summer Creek to give the Mustangs their best this week.
