Martin Mills continued its dominant run through the postseason with a lopsided win in the 2A Texas (UIL) regional finals Saturday, punching its first trip to state since 2001.

The Mustangs are one of many teams advancing through to the state tournament across Saturday's 2023 Texas (UIL) state high school girls basketball regional finals.

Boerne was another team that secured its spot. The Lady Greyhounds exacted revenge on Fredricksburg to win the Class 4A Region IV tournament.

Led by Indiana-bound Julianna LaMendola, Coppell beat Southlake Carroll Friday night to reach the Class 6A regional finals for the first time since 1990, then punched its ticket to its first-ever state appearance Saturday with a 51-47 win over Little Elm.

Little Elm's road ended Saturday after a regional semifinal win over Keller, fueled by a standout performance from UNLV commit Amarachi Kimpson.

The bi-district round took place Feb. 13-14, the area round took place Feb. 16-18, the regional semifinals on Feb. 24, setting up Saturday's regional finals.
