With the high school track and field season in full swing from coast to coast, athletes are turning in standout performances on a daily basis.

SBLive will be keeping track of the best marks in each event for the remainder of the 2023 season.

Montverde Academy (Florida) senior Issam Asinga was the talk of the country last weekend after winning the 200 meters at the Corky/Crofoot Shootout with a time of 19.97 seconds, setting a new national high school record. Asinga, a Texas A&M signee, also won the 100 with a wind-aided time of 9.89, just off his nation-leading all-conditions time of 9.83 — also a U.S. record.

At the Virginia High Performance meet, Christ School (North Carolina) senior Rocky Hansen became the 18th high schooler in U.S. history to run a sub-four-minute mile. The future Wake Forest Demon Deacon won the mile race with a time of 3:59.56.

Led by Asinga and Hansen, here are the top three wind-legal marks nationally for boys track and field as of Tuesday, May 2. All marks are verified by multiple sources.
