With the high school track and field season in full swing from coast to coast, athletes are turning in standout performances on a daily basis.

SBLive will be keeping track of the best marks in each event for the remainder of the 2023 season.

Oregon City (Oregon) senior Sophia Beckmon had another record-breaking performance on April 28 at the Nike/Jesuit Twilight Relays, winning the long jump competition with a top mark of 22 feet, 4 inches. She shattered her previous state record of 21-4.25, set at the GearUp Eason (WA) Invitational on April 22.

Beckmon is closing in on Kate Hall’s national high school long jump record of 22-5. Competing for Lake Region (Maine) in 2015, Hall recorded a jump of 22-5.
