Here are the candidates for the WAFD Bank high school boys basketball player of the week for Dec. 2-8 as nominated by fans, readers and Scorebook Live’s staff. Messiah Jones, Kamiakin: Jones scored 23 points to go along with 6 boards and 5 dimes to help the Braves win their season opener against Sunnyside.

Jace Barrett, Rogers (Puyallup): Barrett had 21 points and 10 rebounds to give the Rams a victory over Olympia.

Jaylen Scott, Stadium: Scott put up an impressive 44 points in his first game with Stadium.

Kaden Perry, Battleground: Perry filled the stat sheet with 29 points, 26 boards, and 5 blocks against Fort Vancouver to propel Battle Ground to a 57-46 win.
