A full high school basketball season in Washington — with a postseason and all — is finally underway for the first time since 2020. From now until the WIAA state basketball tournament, SBLive will compile and publish a weekly coaches poll for Class 1A, 2A, 3A and 4A.

In 1A, Lynden Christian opens as the No. 1 team, narrowly edging Zillah by one vote. King's, the reigning 1A state champs, starts at No. 3. No WIAA state championship or playoffs were held in 2020-21 due to the pandemic, though Life Christian Academy won an unofficial 1A tournament in late June.
