PUYALLUP, Wash. — Ryan Lafferty scored 18 points, Chapel Smith hit five 3-pointers in the fourth quarter and Maverick Sanders added 12 as the seventh-seeded Wildcats stormed back from a double-digit deficit to beat Auburn 69-58 on Friday at Puyallup High School to secure a bye into the quarterfinals of the 3A state tournament in the Tacoma Dome next week.

Auburn senior Tre Blassingame finished with a game-high 21 points for the 2-seeded Trojans, who drop just their second loss of the season.
