Photos: Not one, but two last-second clutch shots by Libby Stump lifts Lynden Christian to WIAA Class 1A title

YAKIMA - After hitting the two biggest shots of her life, Lynden Christian's Libby Stump half-heartedly proclaimed, "Tonight was my night, I guess."

Stump tied the game with a three-point play at the end of regulation, then won it with her baseline jumper with seven seconds remaining in overtime, and No. 2 Lynden Christian edged No. 1 Nooksack Vallley. 57-56, to repeat as Class 1A girls basketball champions Saturday in the SunDome.

Stump drove down the left baseline, pulled up from 10 feet and swished the game winner. Nooksack Valley frantically tried to get the ball up the court - and its halfcourt heave was off the mark.

Stump finished with a career-high 35 points in the Lyncs' victory. Devin Coppinger led the Pioneers with 14 points.
