Ella Borsheim, Bellarmine Prep girls track and field: The multiple-time state champion distance runner posted a personal record in the 3,200-meter run (10:12.84) on Saturday at the prestigious Arcadia Invitational to take over the state lead by more than 20 seconds.

Katelynn Gelson, Hanford girls track and field: Wow. The senior thrower popped a personal-record 156-foot throw in the girls discus to grab the No. 1 spot in the state at the Arcadia Invitational.

JaiCieonna Gero-Holt, Emerald Ridge girls track and field: The Jaguars’ ninth-grader has taken the state by storm. After resetting top spot in the girls high jump (6-0), she also took over the lead in the 100-meter hurdles Saturday with a time of 14.49 seconds at the Arcadia Invitational in California.

Alli Kimball, Peninsula softball: The fireballer shut down a good Gig Harbor lineup by giving up just two hits and striking out 12 in the Seahawks’ 6-0 3A SSC victory over the Tides.

Aerin Lee, Selah softball: The reigning 2A CWAC co-MVP threw a no-hitter with nine strikeouts against Ephrata in a 10-0 win, then helped finish off the doubleheader sweep with a home run, reports the Yakima Herald-Republic.

Gracie Ream, Puyallup softball: The ninth-grader was simply dominant in this 4A SPSL showdown between league contenders, striking out 12 in five innings, allowing one hit in the Vikings’ 10-0 win over South Kitsap.

Alaynah Reed, Kentwood girls track and field: In a light week of meets (spring break), the Conquerors’ sprinter took over the state leader in the girls’ 400-meter dash with a time of 57.53 seconds in a 4A NPSL dual meet.

Jordyn Relethford, Nooksack Valley softball: The Edmonds CC signee outdueled all-state ace pitcher Kiana Rios by throwing a three-hitter, striking out nine and also hitting a bases-clearing triple in the sixth inning as the Pioneers defeated 2B contender Warden, 3-2.

Riley Timmons, Montesano softball: The sophomore came in relief with the Bulldogs trailing 5-0 and tossed seven innings of one-(earned) run ball, striking out eight as Montesano rallied to trip up fellow 1A powerhouse Lakeside of Nine Mile Falls, 9-8.

Ava Clark, Woodinville softball: Clark batted .500 and had two hits in a 5-6 loss against Inglemoor. 

Luke Abshire, Central Valley baseball: Recorded 11 strikeouts in a complete game shutout in a 4-0 win at Lewis and Clark in the first of a double-header.

Carson Coffield, Mt. Spokane baseball: Connected on 2 of 3 at-bats with a double, two RBI and three runs scored in a 13-3 win over Gonzaga Prep.

Ethan Coleman, Olympia boys track & field: Recorded the state’s best 3200 meter run time this season at the Arcadia Invitational in California, logging an 8:51.09 personal best (ninth place). 

Denny Fisher, Eastside Catholic boys track & field: Logged a 14-foot, 1-inch mark in the pole vault at the 2022 Arcadia Invitational — good enough for the state’s top mark this season.

Braden Hartley, Rochester baseball: Didn’t allow a hit in a five-inning start, adding seven strikeouts and two walks to a no-hitter in a 11-0 win over Shelton.

Corbin Herrera, Yakima Herald-Republic boys soccer: Netted two second-half goals to help Eisenhower turn a one-goal deficit into a 2-1 league win over Davis.

Quinn Hubbs, Cheney baseball: Fanned 10 batters and gave up 10 in a complete game performance a 1-0 win over 3A Ferris.

Andre Korbmacher, Squalicum boys track & field: Won the Arcadia Invite boys invite section with a 13.84 (a personal best) in the 110 hurdles, toppling Jadyn Marshall, the top 110 hurdler in the country.

Adison Mattix, Mountlake Terrace baseball: Fanned 10 batters in a four-inning start, along with three runs (all unearned), three walks and two hits in a 3-2 win over Mountlake Terrace, reported The Everett Herald.

Jaden Oguda, Jackson boys soccer: His equalizer and go-ahead goals lifted Jackson to a 4A Wesco win over Mariner.

Carlos Vallejo, Centralia baseball: Hit a three-run double to seal a 13-7 win over Black Hills.

Max Workman, Mead baseball: Hit 4-for-4 at the plate, netted two triples, five RBI and five runs in a 20-5 win in the front end of a road double-header at North Central.

Aden Schaler, Yelm baseball: In two games against Capital, the junior went 4-for-8 at the plate with two doubles, two singles, and three RBIs.

Reagan Ellis, North Creek softball: Ellis is batting .700 in her last three games in Kingco 4A with two home runs. The senior 2B is on fire at the plate batting a total of .532 for the season and setting a school record for double plays and fielding percentage on defense for her career.

Jacob Hayes, Anacortes baseball: The Anacortes Junior pitched 4.2 innings in a game against Lynden Christian, striking out nine and allowing four earned runs. He also went four-for-four hitting with five RBIs and one home run.
