Then and now, here are SBLive's Senior Girl Athletes of the Year in Washington

This is the third year that SBLive WA has named each classification's best multi-sport athletes who fare well in school, community, too

Another year, another set of really impressive multi-sport seniors who wrapped up their high school tenures in June.

Again, the end-of-the-year stories and biography charts of all six girls were sponsored by WaFed Bank.

Criteria in a nutshell: Each of the athletes were all-league/all-state performers in at least two sports. Overall tenure was also a factor.

2021-22 SENIOR MULTI-SPORT GIRL ATHLETES OF THE YEAR

Hannah Dickinson, Lakeside of Seattle 2022, SBLive WA Class 3A senior girl athlete of the year — Lakeside of Seattle captured the Class 3A girls soccer title behind USC-bound goalkeeper Hannah Dickinson, the state player of the year.

* 4A: Whenever her team needed a lift, Kennedy Catholic's Avery Watkins was always there to lend a hand - and leadership

* 3A: Hannah Dickinson gobbled up shots on goal as Lakeside of Seattle's state soccer MVP - as well as passes in the post in basketball

* 2A: A year of training with elite athletes in Yakima gave Prosser's Halle Wright the confidence to dominate in basketball, track and field

* 1A: Eatonville's Hailey Rath never met a softball she didn't like ... to send over the fence. Her 24 home runs led all sluggers in Washington

* 2B: Raymond's Kyra Gardner has always been a rangy, jumpy, adventurous type - and will take her talents to WSU basketball

* 1B: In the toughest smallest-classification league in the state, Garfield-Palouse's Kenzi Pedersen stood tallest, especially as basketball MVP

2020-21 SENIOR MULTI-SPORT GIRL ATHLETES OF THE YEAR

Jaydia Martin, Hudson's Bay multi-sport athlete, class of 2021 — Hudson's Bay's Jaydia Martin was a GSHL player of the year in volleyball and basketball, and signed with Eastern Washington University.

* 4A: To most, Glacier Peak point guard Aaliyah Collins is just a blur -and one of the best defensive players the state has seen in some time

* 3A: Kennewick's Madeline Gebers is trying to be the busiest student-athlete in college by playing all three sports at Spokane Falls CC

* 2A: Hudson's Bay Jaydia Martin, the GSHL player of the year in volleyball and basketball, learned early how to handle herself around adults

* 1A: Determined San Diego State volleyball signee Jordyn Goldsmith went against advice and played her senior season of basketball

* 2B: McKenna Martinez starred in basketball for Tri-Cities Prep - and was the MCC soccer player of the year at Richland

* 1B: After overcoming a knee injury, Jenna Andringa came back stronger, and led Sunnyside Christian to unbeaten spring basketball season

2019-20 SENIOR MULTI-SPORT GIRL ATHLETES OF THE YEAR

Hailey Marlow, West Valley of Spokane, class of 2020 — Time and time again, West Valley's Hailey Marlow made big plays at the end of games to leads the Eagles to the Class 2A basketball finals.

* 4A: You just couldn't keep Rogers of Puyallup's Raigan Barrett out of the action - in basketball and in softball, her college sport

* 3A: Roosevelt's Camille Duckett led the volleyball program to four consecutive WIAA berths, and took a few track and field titles to UW

* 2A: Living for clutch moment, West Valley of Spokane's Hailey Marlow hit big shot after big shot in leading Eagles to basketball finals

* 1A: Elma's Jalyn Sackrider earned 12 varsity letters during her tenure in volleyball, basketball and track and field

* 2B: Family-first senior Maisie Burnham helped bring her extended family at Liberty of Spangle at state basketball championship

* 1B: Pomeroy's Maddy Dixon always attracted a crowd at school - and a herd at home in raising show cattle
