Each week, SBLive ranks the top 25 teams across the state of Washington, regardless of classification. Here’s a look at how those teams fared in games played in Week 7 of the 2022 high school football season.

HOW THE TOP 25 FARED — OCT. 15

1. YELM TORNADOS 7-0 (3A) beat Timberline, 56-14 (Thu.)

Squad so deep, even when it feels like team's big names aren't firing away, a guy such as RB William Carreto (204 yards, two TDs) comes and dominates action.

2. EASTSIDE CATHOLIC CRUSADERS 7-0 beat Seattle Prep, 45-14

Things started slow for the Crusaders, but a big second half, highlighted by Tyson Weaver's kickoff return for a touchdown, kept Eastside Catholic rolling.

3. GLACIER PEAK GRIZZLIES 6-1 (4A) beat Marysville-Pilchuck, 49-18

It was the River Lien show as he tallied five touchdowns in the Grizzlies' win. Glacier Peak erased a 12-0 deficit in the second quarter.

5. O'DEA FIGHTING IRISH 6-1 (3A) beat Ballard, 42-14

One of "those" RB Jason Brown games - spry and unstoppable. Had five runs of 10 or more yards in first 15 minutes, including a 64-yard touchdown. Irish led 42-0 at half

6. EMERALD RIDGE JAGUARS 5-1 (4A) vs. Bellarmine Prep, ppd. (Sat.)

Poor air quality forces game to be moved to Monday.

Never count the defending state champion out. The Lions trailed at halftime, but outscored the Tigers 21-6 in the second half.

8. GONZAGA PREP BULLPUPS 6-1 (4A) beat Central Valley, 28-21

Bullpups blow two-touchdown lead - twice - but QB JoJo Shortell's tiebreaking touchdown in the fourth quarter gave them another important 4A GSL win.

9. LAKE STEVENS VIKINGS 5-2 (4A) beat Mariner, 48-0

It took the entire first quarter for the Vikings to get going, but once they did, the floodgates opened. RB Jayden Limar scored three times.

15. MONROE BEARCATS 7-0 (3A) beat Edmonds-Woodway, 28-14

After blowing by its opponents the first six weeks, Monroe showed it can pull out the close ones, too. QB Blake Springer tossed a pair of touchdown passes.

16. PUYALLUP VIKINGS 5-1 (4A) beat Bethel, 17-6

All three phases were big first-quarter contributors (Kai Richardson's blocked-punt TD recovery, Malachi Durant's INT and Ty Balzarini's rushing TD) in building 14-0 lead.

17. STANWOOD SPARTANS 7-0 (4A) beat Marysville-Getchell, 42-6

18. SKYVIEW STORM 5-2 (4A) lose to No. 25 Camas, 36-33

21. RAINIER BEACH VIKINGS 6-1 (3A) beat No. 20 Garfield, 21-15 (Sat.)

Coach Corey Sampson has not been shy saying RB Scottre Humphrey (224 yards, two TDs) is as good a tailback as there is in state. Opinion didn't lose shine after Saturday.

22. SKYLINE SPARTANS 5-1 (4A) vs. Eastmont, ppd. (Sat.)

None-league game canceled because of poor air quality.

23. GRAHAM-KAPOWSIN EAGLES 5-2 (4A) beat South Kitsap, 28-0 (Sat)

24. NORTH KITSAP VIKINGS 6-1 (2A) beat Bremerton, 31-0

In sloppy 2A Olympic game - 10 combined turnovers - Vikings' defense allowed no points in three Bremerton red-zone trips in posting fourth shutout of season.
