Richland boys, Kamiakin girls stave off challenges to captured league titles
RICHLAND, Wash, - At packed Art Dawald Gym on the campus of Richland High School - two schools were crowned Mid-Columbia Conference basketball champions Friday night.
The Richland boys, who got a big boost from Jordan Valencia late in the first half, downed Kamiakin, 59-57, for the conference title.
And the Kamiakin girls recovered from an early 14-point deficit to overtake the Bombers, 54-49.
