Second-ranked Wildcats close final six minutes of third quarter on 22-5 run to breeze to 73-40 victory in Tri-Cities
KENNEWICK, Wash. - Struggling second-ranked Mount Spokane didn't take very long to find its shooting stroke after halftime.
When the Wildcats did, they pulled away for an easy 73-40 victory over Kennewick in the Class 3A District 8 boys championship game.
After Kennewick’s Nathan Knapik’s putback basket cut the Lions' deficit to 32-29 with six minutes remaining in the third quarter, Mount Spokane responded on a 22-5 run to close the quarter.
