One of the cool things about WIBCA-operated basketball events - they like a little variety in their showcase tournaments.

This weekend? It is the territorial-based 20th annual WIBCA May Showcase at Bellevue College, sponsored by Watts Basketball.

It is a 16-team tournament, featuring 10-player teams from different cities (or geographic locations) across Washington.

Areas that will be represented include Seattle, Tacoma, Spokane, Tri-Cities, Yakima, northwest Washington and southwest Washington.

Some of the notable headliners playing include Anthony Canales, Lynden (NW Wash); Myles Daymon, of Garfield (Spokane); Peter Dress, Kamiakin (Tri-Cities); Juju Ervin, North Central (Spokane); Zaveon Johnson, Mountlake Terrace (Seattle); Braydon Olson, Mark Morris (SW Wash); Dominik Robinson, Graham-Kapowsin (Tacoma); Ajayi Simmons, Renton (Seattle); Tait Spencer, Battle Ground (SW Wash); and Dekker Van de Graaf, Zillah (Yakima).

Games start at 10 a.m. Saturday and run all day. The championship game is scheduled for 1:10 p.m. Sunday.
