Bold was two for three at the plate with a double and a walk against Santa Fe Christian on Thursday.

SOLANA BEACH, Calif. -- La Jolla Country Day catcher Jake Bold was unable to extend his home run streak to five consecutive games, but the Princeton-bound senior still reached base three times in Thursday's 8-2 win over Santa Fe Christian.

The Torreys trailed Santa Fe Christian 1-0 entering the fourth inning before rallying for three runs in the inning, the first coming on a single to center by Bold that scored Chris Esquivel from second base. The Torreys added four more runs in the fifth inning including a booming two-run double from Nathan Latimer that scored two on their way to the 8-2 victory.

The Torreys and Eagles will face off once more on Saturday morning in the finale of their three-game series.
