Maddox Lassiter, Warren (Arkansas) High School football standout, voted SBLive's National Athlete of the Week (Oct. 10-16)
Warren High School (Arkansas) quarterback Maddox Lassiter, one of the state's top arms, was voted SBLive's National Athlete of the Week between Oct. 10-16.
He ran away with the vote, receiving 83.1 percent of the total count after throwing for 401 yards and three passing touchdowns and ran for two more touchdowns on the ground with 76 total rushing yards in a 47-20 win over Dewitt.
The 6-foot-4, 230-pound Lassiter established himself as an all-state selection and big-play signal-caller as a junior, leading the Lumberjacks to an 11-2 record.
Plant High School (Fla.) standout Jaquez Kindell was the runner-up vote-getter with around 9 percent of the total count.

Darryl Coleman, Yuma Catholic (Arizona) football
Coleman caught eight passes for 176 yards — 22 yards per catch — and two touchdowns to help the Shamrocks edge the Hawks, 48-45.
Ty Cozad, Muscatine (Iowa) football
The junior running back went for 353 rushing yards and five touchdowns on 31 carries in a 41-13 thumping of Davenport North.
Chris Dodson, Elk Grove (California) football
The 5-11, 170-pound senior cornerback/receiver/kicker did more than a little bit of everything. He had three interceptions, returning two of them for touchdown and kicked six extra points in a 62-8 win over Pleasant Grove.
Blake Flowers, Seminole (Texas) football
In the Indians’ 48-32 district win over Borger on Friday night, Flowers threw for 434 yards and five touchdowns on 27-of-38 passing and ran 15 times for 120 yards and two rushing touchdowns.
Scottre Humphrey, Rainier Beach (Washington) football
The Vikings’ workhorse put the team on his back with 224 yards rushing and a pair of scores to keep the team's 3A Metro League title hopes alive.
Braylon Isom, Saginaw Heritage (Michigan) football
Had four receptions for 158 receiving yards and two receiving touchdowns, as well as a kickoff return touchdown in a 49-21 win over Flint Powers.
