Cabot Panthers girls basketball

Jenna Cook's 10 fourth-quarter points powered the Lady Panthers to a victory over previously top-ranked North Little Rock, who had not lost against in-state competition.

Clinton Yellowjackets boys basketball

24 points from Karter Holland, along with a double-double (22 points, 13 rebounds) by Zane Widener, powered the Yellowjackets to a 79-78 double overtime win over defending 4A state champion Little Rock Christian. They also got conference W's over Bauxite, as well as Little Rock Hall, and have won 10 straight games.

Cutter-Morning Star Eagles boys basketball

Following wins over Magnet Cove and Mountain Pine, the Eagles earned redemption over defending 2A state champion Bigelow from a December 8 loss to continue climbing the 2A-5 standings.

Dover Pirates girls basketball

Three wins last week over Lamar, Perryville and Central Arkansas Christian put the Lady Pirates within a half game of first place in the 3A-5.

Greene County Tech Eagles girls basketball

Top 25 wins over West Memphis and Marion, plus a rout of Paragould, put the Lady Eagles' win streak at 13 and they remain undefeated in 5A-East play.

Harrison Goblins boys basketball

The Goblins overcame a three-game skid and notched a crucial Top 25 conference win on the road over Russellville. They followed that up with a 34-point rout of Siloam Springs.

Hillcrest Screamin' Eagles girls basketball

The Lady Screamin' Eagles took home the 101st Lawrence County Tournament championship with a 55-51 win over Walnut Ridge, the second time Hillcrest has won the tournament in the past three years.

Lake Hamilton Wolves boys basketball

The Wolves were due for a statement victory, and they got it over Pine Bluff behind a 36-point performance from Zane Pennington. They also defeated Arkansas High on Friday and are currently in a two-way tie with Pine Bluff for second place in the 5A-South.

Maumelle Hornets boys basketball

They did drop a heartbreaker to a solid Catholic squad to start the week, but bounced back and took down No. 13 Vilonia on the road before a sold-out crowd. Senior Darren Fleming connected on nearly 60% of his shots from long range and the Hornets are just a half game behind the Eagles in the 5A-Central standings.

Nashville Scrapperettes basketball

The Scrapperettes took a dominating 35-12 lead into halftime and staved off a second-half Vilonia rally to take down the No. 5 team on the road, 55-44. They also notched 4A-7 wins over Magnolia and Camden Fairview.

Subiaco Academy Trojans boys basketball

The Trojans have quietly been one of Class 4A's top teams thus far and they avenged their only loss of the season with a Top 25 victory over Morrilton. They also defeated Fountain Lake and Ozark on the week and are only a half game out of first place in the 4A-4 race.

Valley View Blazers boys basketball

They just missed earning a Top 25 win to tip off the week in a loss to Nettleton, but the Blazers took advantage of their second opportunity in a six-point triumph over No. 6 Marion.
