Sinton closed out the regular season by beating United for its 14th shutout of the season

The 2023 high school baseball playoffs are getting underway in many states around the country including California, Texas, Florida and Georgia.

No. 4 Sinton recorded its 14th shutout of the season last week and have allowed just four total runs during its current 15-game winning streak. The Pirates will begin the Texas UIL 4A playoffs with a three-game series against Somerset on Thursday.

1. IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.) (25-0)

IMG held off Jesuit (Tampa) for the second time in three weeks on Monday and finished off the week with dominant wins over Mitchell and Remington Christian Academy to cap a perfect 25-0 season.

2. Marjory Stoneman Douglas (Parkland, Fla.) (22-0)

The Eagles picked up two more shutout victories last week, and have now allowed 23 total runs in 22 games this season. They received a first-round bye in the 7A District 13 playoffs and will take on the winner of Monarch and Spanish River on Tuesday.

3. St. Mary’s Prep (Orchard Lake, Mich.) (18-0)

The Eaglets swept two doubleheaders last week, extending their league record to 13-0. St. Mary's Prep has won 84 straight games, five shy of tying the national record for consecutive wins.

4. Sinton (Texas) (28-1)

Sinton needed extra innings, but emerged with a 1-0 win against United in Tuesday's game. They'll open the Texas 4A playoffs with a three game series against Somerset on Thursday.

5. Barbe (Lake Charles, La.) (36-1)

The Buccaneers had no problem in their opening playoff set, beating Thibodaux 3-0 and 5-0. They'll play a best of three set with Neville beginning on Thursday.

6. Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas, Nev.) (25-2)

Bishop Gorman clinched their league championship last week and will finish out the regular season this week with three games. UNLV-signee Easton Shelton is up to 12 home runs on the season.

7. Notre Dame (Sherman Oaks, Calif.) (26-2)

Notre Dame finished off the Mission League with a three-game sweep of St. Francis in which the Knights won by a combined score of 9-0. They'll open the Southern Section Division 1 playoffs by hosting Hart on Thursday.

8. Catholic (Baton Rouge, La.) (34-2)

Catholic needed only two games in their playoff series with Lafayette, winning 5-3 and 6-1. Their best of three series with John Curtis Christian will begin on Wednesday.

9. Jesuit (Tampa, Fla.) (21-4)

Jesuit lost to top-ranked IMG Academy last week for the second time in three weeks. They closed out the week by beating Charlotte 15-0 and will meet the winner of Spoto and Freedom in Tuesday's district semifinals.

10. Huntington Beach (Calif.) (20-8)

The Oilers took home the Sunset Surf last week with two dominant wins over Los Alamitos. They'll open the Southern Section Division 1 playoffs when they host Warren on Thursday.

11. Calvary Christian (Clearwater, Fla.) (21-4)

The Warriors closed out their regular season by beating their three opponents last week by a combined score of 31-3. They received a first-round bye in the district playoffs and will host the winner of St. Petersburg Catholic and Lakewood and Tuesday night.

12. JSerra (San Juan Capistrano, Calif.) (19-9)

JSerra opened last week with a loss to Orange Lutheran before coming back to beat the Lancers twice later in the week. They closed out the regular season with a non-league win against El Rancho on Friday. They'll open the Southern Section Division 1 playoffs at Yucaipa on Thursday looking to defend their 2022 title.

13. Aquinas (San Bernardino, Calif.) (22-4)

Aquinas closed out the regular season with back-to-back 16-0 wins against Ontario Christian. They'll begin playing in the Southern Section Division 2 playoffs on Friday, awaiting their opponent from Wednesday's wildcard round.

14. Concordia Lutheran (Tomball, Texas) (31-2)

Concordia Lutheran closed out the regular season with a three-game sweep of St. Pius X to reach 31 wins. They'll have a bye in the first round of the TAPPS Division playoffs before taking on the winner of Bishop Lynch and Central Catholic (San Antonio)

15. Cypress Woods (Texas) (28-3)

The Wildcats shutout Cypress Park twice last week to close out the regular season. They'll begin the Texas 6A state playoffs later this week.

16. Westlake (Austin, Texas) (30-3)

Westlake won two extra inning games against Johnson last week to finish district play 14-2. They'll begin the state playoffs with a best of three series against Vandegrift beginning on Thursday night.

17. Houston County (Warner Robins, Ga.) (29-5)

Houston County will look to keep their season alive on Monday night when they take on Marist in game three of their series. The winner advances to play Blessed Trinity in the quarterfinal round of the Georgia 6A playoffs.

18. Sulphur (La.) (31-4)

The Golden Tors took two games from Destrehan in the regional playoffs last week and will host Central (Baton Rouge) this week in a best of three series.

19. Rockwall (Texas) (29-6)

Rockwall won the Texas 6A Region 2 District 10 by beating Tyler Legacy twice last week. They'll play a best of three series with Naaman Forest beginning on Thursday night.

20. Cardinal Newman (Santa Rosa, Calif.) (21-0)

The Cardinals picked up two more wins, beating Rancho Cotate 8-0 and 3-1 last week. They'll play two games with Windsor this week, looking to complete an undefeated regular season while playing for an outright league title.

21. St. John’s (Washington, D.C.) (24-0-1)

The Cadets scored 40 runs over three league wins last week, continuing their unbeaten season. They'll close out the regular season when they host Paul VI on Tuesday.

22. Parkview (Lilburn, Ga.) (28-5)

Parkview has scored 40 runs in four playoff games so far, sweeping their way past McEachern and Richmond Hill in the first two rounds of the Georgia 7A playoffs. Dacula is up next in the quarterfinal round.

23. Cartersville (Ga.) (31-2)

Cartersville swept their second straight playoff series, beating Cambridge 5-1 and 4-1 this past weekend. They'll await the winner of Northside and Greenbrier in the quarterfinal round.

24. Archbishop Moeller (Cincinnati, Ohio) (16-3)

The Crusaders split two games early in the week before taking down Conner 1-0 on Thursday night. They'll play four games this week, starting with conference games against St. Xavier on Monday and Wednesday.

25. West Monroe (La.) (31-4)

The Rebels needed three games to get past Fontainebleau in the regional round of the LHSAA playoffs. They'll host a best of three series against St. Amant this week in the quarterfinal round.
