Here are the candidates for the Scorebook Live Southern California boys basketball player of the week for Dec. 9-15, as nominated by fans, readers and Scorebook Live’s staff. Read through the nominees and cast your vote at the bottom of the page. Players from the Southern, LA City and San Diego Sections are considered. Voting will conclude on Thursday at 11:59 p.m and the winner will be announced Friday morning. Devin Askew, Mater Dei G: Askew put up a double-double with 18 points and 11 assists in Mater Dei's 79-50 win over West Torrance.

Billy Reed III, South Pasadena G: Reed scored 28 points and grabbed 10 boards in South Pasadena's 58-55 victory over Vistamar.

Mikey Williams, San Ysidro G: Williams scored 77 points in the Cougar’s win over Kearny, setting a new San Diego Section record.

Lamont Butler, Poly G: Butler dished out 12 assists to go along with 21 points to help Poly defeat Carter 97-38.

Andre Henry, St. Francis G: Henry scored 27 points and pulled down 11 rebounds in St. Francis' 62-41 win over La Canada.

Peyton Watson, Long Beach Poly F: Watson finished with 32 points and 13 rebounds in LB Poly's 85-72 win against Warren.

David Cheatom, University G: Cheatom filled up the stat sheet with 30 points, 5 rebounds, 7 steals, and 3 blocks in University's 71-67 win over Hamilton.

Christian Moore, Brentwood F: Moore's 27 points and 15 rebounds helped lead Brentwood to a 77-44 win against Fremont.

Houston Mallette, Pacifica Christian G: Mallette netted 31 points and snagged 8 rebounds in Pacifica Christian's 85-61 victory over University.

Morgan Brewer, Price F: Brewer led his team with 27 points, 15 rebounds, 4 assists, 4 steals, and 3 rebounds to help take down Rancho Dominguez.

Adrian McIntyre, Saugus G: McIntyre finished with a triple-double of 33 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 steals against Notre Dame.

Skyy Clark, Heritage Christian G: Clark averaged 30 ppg, 4.8 apg, and 2.8 spg over the course of Heritage Christian's last four games.
