In the Division 1 bracket, JSerra edged Downey 45-44 in a thriller, while in the Division 2A bracket Summit won a 74-72 shootout over Leuzinger.
The Open Division was the only CIF-SS Division that did not play Thursday night. They tip off first-round pool play on Saturday.
