Here are the candidates for the Scorebook Live Southern California girls basketball player of the week for Dec. 9-15, as nominated by fans, readers and Scorebook Live’s staff. Read through the nominees and cast your vote at the bottom of the page. Players from the Southern, LA City and San Diego Sections are considered. Voting will conclude on Thursday at 11:59 p.m and the winner will be announced Friday morning. Emily Perez, St. Anthony G: Perez led St. Anthony to a 63-52 victory over St. Mary's Academy, netting 22 points.

Alyssa Munn, Redondo G: Munn took over the stat sheet against Santiago with 29 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists, and 2 steals.

Isabella Serrano, Mary Star G: Serrano netted 16 points to go along with 3 assists and 5 steals to help lead the Stars to a 62-28 victory over San Pedro.

Te-hina Paopao, La Jolla Country Day G: Paopao scored a game-high 31 points to lead the Torreys to a 66-63 OT victory over Cathedral Catholic on Dec. 13.

Natalie Vasquez, Eisenhower G: Vasquez scored 26 points to lead Eisenhower to an 85-57 win over Carter in the Roosevelt Tournament.

Alyssa Kubo, Esperanza G: Kubo scored 28 points to lead Esperanza to a 61-59 victory over Orangewood Academy on Dec. 11.

Ashley Hawkins, Woodrow Wilson G: Hawkins scored 22 points to lead Wilson to a 54-46 win over Los Osos on Dec. 14.

Asia Avinger, Rosary Academy F: Avinger had 24 points, 11 rebounds and six assists in Rosary Academy's 69-67 OT loss to No. 1 Sierra Canyon on Dec. 14.
