CIF Southern Section announces winners of the 2019-20 FORD Academic Awards

The winners of the 34th Annual CIF Southern Section FORD Academic Awards program were announced at the CIF Southern Section office on Wednesday. These are team awards given to teams with the best cumulative GPA's in their respective sports. Winning teams from 26 different sports were selected.

To be considered, teams must have a minimum of five student-athletes with a minimum of a 3.0 GPA average (4.0 scale) in the first semester or first two quarters of the 2019-20 school year. Schools are divided into
two enrollment categories, 1,500 and above and 1,499 and below. The team with the highest GPA in each enrollment category for each sport receives the award.
