PHOENIX — Santa Margarita finished with a 3-1 record in the California division at the 2020 Border League Tournament in Phoenix over the weekend. The Eagles finished with a win over Cleveland (New Mexico) on Sunday.

The Border League, created to give high school basketball players from California, Nevada and Arizona an opportunity to compete in the fall, took place Friday through Sunday (Oct. 23-25) across five different high schools in the Phoenix metro area.

Santa Margarita returns a solid core from last season and added 6-foot-7 forward Luke Turner to the mix. He comes over from Rancho Christian after averaging 10 points and 4 rebounds per game last season.
