THIS WEEK’S SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA ATHLETE OF THE WEEK NOMINEES:

Kelly Belardi, Marymount girls volleyball: Belardi had 32 assists and 8 digs in Marymount's CIF-SS Division 1 quarterfinal win over Harvard-Westlake.

Dani Thomas-Nathan, La Salle girls volleyball: Thomas-Nathan had 29 kills and 9 digs in La Salle's five-set loss to Aliso Niguel in the CIF-SS Division 2 semifinals.

Maia Nieman, El Toro girls volleyball: Nieman had a team-high 14 kills to help lead El Toro to a 3-1 victory over Mission Viejo in the Division 3 CIF-SS girls volleyball semifinals.

Isaiah Pressley, St. Augustine RB: Pressley ran for 283 yards and two touchdowns in Friday's one-point win over La Jolla.

Markus Macon, Palo Verde Valley RB: Macon rushed for 185 yards and four touchdowns against Mountain Empire.

Christian Washington, Helix RB: Washington had 299 total yards and five touchdowns in Friday's shootout against Granite Hills.

Samuel Cooper IV, Lincoln QB: Cooper passed for 112 yards and two touchdowns, rushed for 205 yards and four touchdowns and even caught a 27-yard touchdown pass in Friday's win over Coronado.

Matt Moore, Carlsbad WR: Moore had five touches on Friday, finishing with 248 yards and three touchdowns against Vista.

Tiger Bachmeier, Murrieta Valley WR: Bachmeier caught six passes for 111 yards and two touchdowns and also returned two kickoffs for touchdowns in Friday's win over Chaparral.

Ty Pierson, Arcadia RB: Pierson had 168 total yards and three rushing touchdowns against Crescenta Valley.

Darius Cowens, Pacifica QB: Cowens threw for 525 yards and seven touchdowns against Kennedy on Friday night.

Jeremiah Ingram, Pacifica WR: Ingram caught seven of Cowens passes for 315 yards and four touchdowns against Kennedy.

Gavin Galzote, Vista Murrieta RB: Galzote rushed for 150 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries against Murrieta Mesa.

Kobe Boykin, Orange ATH: Boykin had 263 total yards and four touchdowns against Santa Ana on Thursday.

Kian Salehi, Campbell Hall WR/DB: Salehi caught four passes for 102 yards and three touchdowns, rushed for a 23-yard touchdown and had an interception in Friday's win against Brentwood.

Justyn Martin, Inglewood QB: Martin threw 13 touchdown passes in Friday's 106-0 win over Morningside.

Niko Mavridis, San Marino QB: Mavridis threw for 383 yards and three touchdowns and also rushed for 105 yards and two touchdowns in Friday's three-point loss to La Cañada.

Cory Cheung, La Cañada RB: Cheung had 248 all-purpose yards and four rushing touchdowns against San Marino.

Christian Lundsberg, Canyon QB: Lundsberg passed for 254 yards and five touchdowns against Esparanza on Friday.

Kadin Semonza, Mission Viejo QB: Semonza passed for 283 yards and four touchdowns and also added a rushing touchdown in Friday's shutout against San Clemente.

Xavier Washington, Rancho Cucamonga QB: Washington threw four touchdown passes and had 357 passing yards in Friday's one-point overtime win against Damien.

Ruben Rivera, Walnut RB: Rivera had 208 total yards and three touchdowns against Diamond Ranch on Friday.

Emmanuel Barajas, Yucaipa RB: Barajas carried 45 times for 253 yards and four touchdowns in Friday's 42-14 win over Redlands East Valley.

Ben Emery, Verdugo Hills WR: Emery had five catches for 197 yards and two touchdowns and also returned a punt for a 62-yard touchdown against North Hollywood.

Drew Barrett, Trabuco Hills RB: Barrett carried a heavy workload on Friday, carrying 40 times for 290 yards and two touchdowns against El Toro.

Donovan Harvey, Elsinore RB: Harvey rushed 20 times for 294 yards and three touchdowns against Temescal Canyon.

Max Garrison, St. Francis RB: Garrison had 305 total yards and four rushing touchdowns against Crespi on Friday.

Carlos Hernandez, Monrovia WR/DB: Scored six total touchdowns including four receiving scores and two interception returns in Monrovia’s 56-7 win over South Pasadena.
