Bryce James' transfer to Campbell Hall made official

The 6-foot-4 son of LeBron James will play his junior season in North Hollywood

Campbell Hall announced Thursday Bryce James has transferred from Sierra Canyon to the North Hollywood school.

The announcement confirms news that has been openly anticipated for months. Tarek Fattal of the L.A. Daily News reported the move was "expected" in April and ESPN reported the transfer was official through an unnamed source in May.

James, the second oldest son of LeBron James, will play for head coach David Grace, who was on Steve Alford's staff at UCLA and recently coached at Centennial in Arizona in 2022-23.

James is listed as a 6-foot-4 shooting guard heading into his junior year of high school. He showed flashes of high-level athleticism in limited minutes for Sierra Canyon this past season as a sophomore, playing with his older brother Bronny James, who is now at USC.

Bryce James plays AAU for Strive For Greatness on the Nike EYBL circuit.

Campbell Hall went 15-15 in 2022-23 and 1-7 in the Gold Coast League.
