Roosevelt's Brayden Burries highlights 2024 Big VIII basketball All-League selections

Burries averaged 24.8 points, 7.9 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.7 steals per game this season

The Big VIII League revealed its boys basketball All-League selections for the 2023-24 season Wednesday.

The league doesn't award an MVP honor, according to Corona Centennial coach Josh Giles, but it's fair to say that Brayden Burries is the unofficial league MVP after guiding Eastvale Roosevelt to a Big VIII League title.

"It's ridiculous that our league doesn't specify that anymore," Giles said.

Centennial players like Jared McCain and Donovan Dent would've been unofficial MVPs of the league, too, though it sounds like they technically didn't get the award in years past.

"Burries should be our league MVP," Giles added.

Burries led the Mustangs to a 31-4 overall record which included trips to the CIF Southern Section Open Division final and the CIF State Open Division SoCal regional final.

The 5-star junior averaged 24.8 points, 7.9 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.7 steals per game this season.
