Congratulations to Lely softball pitcher Kylie Bledsoe for being voted SBLive’s Florida High School Athlete of the Week for April 25-May 1!

The junior struck out 13 batters in 7 innings of work back on April 25, in a 5-2 loss vs Seacrest Country Day.

Bledsoe ran away with this week's honor, receiving 85.77% of the total vote.

Emma Wyman, Sr. (Trinity Catholic)

Wyman was sensational in the pitching circle in both her starts last week, allowing just one run and recorded 28 strikeouts in 12 innings.

Haley Guffey, Sr. (Wewahitchka)

Guffey recorded 29 total strikeouts in two starts this week for the Lady Gators.

Elana Roush, So. (East Bay)

Roush struck out 19 batters in a 9-inning complete game on April 28, in a 3-2 win over Strawberry Crest.

Ailey Schyck, Sr. (West Orange)

Schyck drove in 10 runs in three games, helping lead the Lady Warriors to a 2-1 week.

Makenna Bellaire, Fr. (Land O’Lakes)

Bellaire drove in three runs and recorded two doubles back on April 27, in a 9-6 win over River Ridge.

Chloe Fariello, Jr. (Park Vista)

Fariello struck out six batters in four innings back on April 28, in a 3-0 win over Jupiter.

BASEBALL

Colton Avera, Sr. (Trinity Christian Academy- Jacksonville)

Avera drove in a season-high seven runs back on April 26, in a 16-8 win over Stanton.

Blake Cyr, Sr. (Windermere)

Cyr stole three bases in four attempts in their two games last week. Windermere finished the regular season with a 21-3 record.

Cooper Moss, Fr. (Arnold)

Moss drove in a total of 10 runs in two games last week, leading the Marlins to back-to-back wins.

Ryan Cerrone, Sr. (Northside Christian)

Cerrone struck out five batters in five innings back on April 26, in an 8-3 win over Clearwater Central Catholic.

Chris Arroyo, Sr. (Stoneman Douglas)

Arroyo struck out seven batters in five shutout innings back on April 28, in a 5-0 win over Gulliver Prep.

Liam Peterson, Jr. (Calvary Christian- Clearwater)

Peterson allowed just one baserunner in five no-hit innings back on April 28, in a 2-0 win over River Ridge.

TRACK AND FIELD

King Mack, Jr. (St. Thomas Aquinas)

Mack took home first place in the boys 100-meter dash finals in last week’s District 3A-15 meet at Traz Powell (April 27). Mack ran a 10.83

Sydney Campbell, Sr. (Creekside)

Campbell took home first place in the girls 100-meter dash finals in last week’s District 4A-2 meet (April 26). Campbell finished with an 11.96 time

Alyssa Wyatt, Sr. (Mandarin)

Wyatt ran a 2:21.85 taking home first place in the Girls 800-meter finals in last week’s District 4A-2 meet (April 26)

Aliyah Canty, So. (Countryside)

Canty finished 2nd in the Girls 200-meter finals in last week’s District 3A-10 meet (April 28). Canty finished with a time of 27.51 seconds

Sophie Haag, Jr. (Calvary Christian- Clearwater)

Haag took home first place in the girls 100-meter finals in last week’s District 2A-9 meet (April 28). Haag finished with a time of 12.12 seconds
