Here are the candidates for SBLive’s Florida High School Athlete of the Week for Jan. 30-Feb. 4 as nominated by fans, readers and SBLive’s staff. Read through the nominees and cast your vote at the bottom of the page. Voting will conclude on Sunday, Feb. 12th at 11:59 p.m and the winner will be announced Monday, Feb. 13th. Isaac Celiscar, Winter Haven, Boys Basketball: Need a game-winner? Just go to Celiscar. The junior wing made it happen when the Blue Devils needed him the most. Celiscar scored 17 points, but hit the game-tying shot in regulation and game-winner in overtime to lift Winter Haven past Orlando Christian Prep 64-62.
Sam Walters, The Villages, Boys Basketball: We just had Walters last week, but heck, why not again? When you score a career-high 42 points, you've got to be mentioned as a top performer. Walters completed the feat in a 92-60 win over Mount Dora on Saturday night.
Hannah Kohn, Hagerty, Girls Basketball: With 3.1 seconds to go, Kohn needed to hit two free throws to give Hagerty the win and the Class 7A, District 4 championship. She delivered. Kohn scored 29 points and led Hagerty to a 51-50 win over Colonial last week.
Joshua Middlebrooks, Miami, Boys Basketball: The senior shooting guard poured in a game-high 31 points in the Stingarees' 70-41 victory over the North Miami Beach Chargers on Senior Night. Middlebrooks scored 21 of the points in the second half of the win.
George Kimble, Berkeley Prep, Boys Basketball: On Senior Night for the Berkeley Prep Buccaneers, Kimble showed out in front of the home crowd. The senior dynamo scored 18 points and played some lockdown defense, en route to the Buccaneers beating Tampa Prep 68-49.
Breanna Ortega, Anclote, Girls Basketball: Just one year ago, the Anclote Sharks were 6-17. Fast forward one year, they are district champions. Ortega scored a team-high 27 points to lead the Sharks to a 62-53 win over Crystal River for the Class 4A, District 9 title. She also surpassed the 2,000-point mark for her career last week.
Nia Blocton, Ridgeview, Girls Basketball: Scoring your 1,000th career point and snagging your 1,000th rebound in the same game is a pretty neat feat. Blocton accomplished that when Ridgeview defeated Columbia 52-18 in the Class 5A, District 2 semifinals.
Kaiden White, Olympia, Boys Basketball: Usually all the attention is given to Jizzle James when it comes to Olympia. In the Titans' 65-66 win over Leesburg, White was the go-to-guy. White scored 19 points to lead Olympia past Leesburg.
Dominic Sarigumba, Clearwater Calvary Christian, Boys Basketball: In the Pinellas County Private School championship game, Sarigumba was the standout for the Warriors. The point guard scored a team-high 27 points, including six 3-pointers in a 85-54 win over St. Petersburg Canterbury. He also had 11 assists and eight rebounds in the victory.
Lynn Rieth, Holy Trinity, Girls Basketball: The senior shooting guard made sure the Tigers won their third straight district title. Rieth scored 19 points, dished out three assists in a 59-27 victory over Edgewood for the Class 3A, District 5 championship.
Ethan Kembro, Franklin County, Boys Basketball: Despite being in a loss, Kembro showed out against North Florida Christian. The 6-foot-5 wing scored 29 points and snagged 10 rebounds in a 79-78 loss.
Juanita Rendon, Barron Collier, Girls Basketball: When it's a tight game, sometimes scoring comes at a premium. Rendon found that out in the Class 5A, District 12 championship when Barron Collier defeated Naples 36-31. The senior scored a game-high 12 points in helping the Cougars get past the Golden Eagles.
Braeden Paul, Wakulla, Boys Soccer: The War Eagles only needed one goal to win the Class 4A, District 1 championship. That came from none other than senior Braeden Paul, who lifted Wakulla to a 1-0 district title win over South Walton.
Lorenzo Cason, Victory Christian Academy, Boys Basketball: The 6-foot-3 junior put the state on notice at the Mosaic Stinger Shootout on Saturday. Cason had himself a game against one of the state's top clubs, scoring 25 points in a 56-53 win over Olympia.
Zoe O'Leary, Venice, Girls Basketball: Needing to provide some sophomore power against Sarasota for the Class 7A, District 12 crown, O'Leary provided the punch. The sophomore forward scored 14 points and grabbed 12 boards in a 58-45 win over Sarasota.
Calvin Sirmans, Lake Worth, Boys Basketball: A big time matchup down in Palm Beach County took place between Lake Worth and Dwyer. It would be the Trojans coming away victorious, as they got 20 points from Sirmans in a 62-57 win.
Ava Graham, Keswick Christian, Girls Basketball: Locking up the Class 2A, District 10 championship couldn't have been done without the steady hand of Graham. Graham scored a team-high 22 points to lead the Crusaders to a 61-24 win over Indians Rocks Christian.
Rose Gravel, Trinity Catholic, Girls Basketball: Though the Celtics ended up falling to P.K. Yonge in the Class 3A, District 2 championship, Gravel stood out in the tournament's semifinals. The junior scored 17 points, collected 12 rebounds and blocked six shots in a 60-46 win over Bradford.
Grady Woodard, Middleburg, Wrestling: Surpassing the 100 win mark for your prep wrestling career is a feat all within itself and Middleburg's Grady Woodard pulled that off this past weekend.
