Thirteen high school football teams from Southwest Florida started their postseason push toward a state title on Friday. And there was plenty of excitement in the regional quarterfinal contests.

Now we want your help picking SBLive's Southwest Florida Defensive Player of the Week. You can vote in our poll below through Saturday, November 18th, at 11:59 p.m., and the winner will be announced in next week's poll.

Here are this week's nominees:

Khari Bendolph, Naples: Led the Eagles with six tackles and two tackles for loss in a 42-0 shutout of Parrish Community.

Gilbert Charles, Immokalee: Intercepted a pass with 28 seconds left to set up the Indians' winning score in a 37-30 victory over Gulf Coast.

Kaelan Davidson, Mariner: Returned a kickoff for a touchdown and also made an interception in a loss to Golden Gate.

Casey Hidalgo, Port Charlotte: Returned an interception to the end zone to ward off Barron Collier's comeback in a playoff win.

Bradley Martino, Golden Gate: Had an interception plus a touchdown catch in a 48-14 win over Mariner.

Ryan Peterson, Bishop Verot: Made 2.5 tackles for loss to go with a sack in a 47-6 win over Mulberry.

Amry Wells, Lemon Bay: Picked off a pass and returned it 95 yards to the end zone in a 39-7 win over Frostproof.

Aaron Zapata, Estero: Had two sacks and three tackles for loss in a 26-6 win over Hardee.
