We took a look at large- and small-class teams, and private schools and came up with nine nominees for best boys’ basketball guard in Osceola County.

We ask you, the fan, to decide who is the best boys’ basketball guard in Osceola County. Voting will conclude on February 29th at 11:59 p.m.

Here are the nominees:

Keniel Velez, Vine Christian Academy (Kissimmee): Talented 6-foot-3 senior combo guard is scoring at an impressive clip of 30.3 points per game, with a whopping 66 three-pointers. He also is averaging 4.7 assists, 7.0 rebounds and 2.8 steals per game for the Kings.

Jeriel Martinez, New Dimensions (Kissimmee): The senior is having a stellar season for the Tigers, averaging 23.2 points and 2.5 rebounds per game.

Izaiah Noel, SG/SF, North Kissimmee Christian: The senior combo guard, who also can slide over to small forward, is averaging 19.7 points, 3.9 assists, 3.9 rebounds and 3.0 steals per game for the Lions, who have raced to a 26-5 record.

Jordan Isaac, SG, Poinciana (Kissimmee): Talented junior is averaging 19.1 points and 4.8 rebounds per game in leading the Eagles check to a 15-6 record.

Luke McCrimon, Osceola (Kissimmee): Versatile shooting guard also doubles as a small forward and is averaging 17.7 points, 3.0 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game for the Kowboys.

Vladimir Torrado, Harmony: Senior is having a terrific season for the Longhorns, averaging 16.3 points, 2.2 assists, 2.9 rebounds and 3.2 steals per game. His efforts have helped lead Harmony to a 20-5 record.

Alex Springs, St. Cloud: Junior shooting guard, who also moves out to small forward when needed, is averaging 17 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.1 steals per game for the Bulldogs, who have raced to a 19-6 start.

Derek Lopez, Southland Christian (Kissimmee): Talented senior combo has drained 59 three-pointers and is averaging 16.2 points per game for the Flames. He also is averaging 4.3 rebounds per game, leading Southland to a 20-7 record.

Lamar Lee, Liberty (Kissimmee): Fearless freshman is having a great season for the Chargers, averaging 10.5 points, 2.7 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 4.3 steals per game. He has made more than 80 steals this season.
