Vote: Who should be SBLive’s Central Florida Girls Basketball Player of the Week (2/21/2024)?

Here are 10 candidates for your voting consideration

Central Florida high school girls’ basketball players piled up impressive performances in last week’s regional playoff tip-off games.

We looked at teams from Orange, Osceola, Lake, Seminole, Volusia, Brevard, and Indian River counties and nominated 10 athletes for the SBLive Central Florida Girls Basketball Player of the Week for Feb. 12-17, 2024.

We ask you, the fan, to decide who should the top player selected. Voting will conclude on Sunday, Feb. 25, at 11:59pm and will be announced in next week’s poll.

Here are this week's nominees:

Eris Lester, Guard, Montverde Academy: The senior from Jacksonville poured in 21 points to help the Eagles beat Sidwell Friends (Washington, D.C.), 81-72.

Kylee Kitts, Forward, Hagerty: The 6-2 senior exploded for 33 points, 15 rebounds and 11 blocked shots for a triple-double to lead the Huskies past Boone (Orlando), 45-39, in a Class 7A regional quarterfinal.

Jasmine Pooler, Guard, Wekiva: Talented sophomore notched 13 points and five rebounds to guide the Mustangs past Kathleen (Lakeland), 42-38, in a Class 6A regional quarterfinal.

Aranya Alexander, Guard, Mount Dora Christian: Fantastic freshman erupted for 17 points to lead the Bulldogs past Victory Christian (Lakeland), 79-54,

Destinie Gordon, Utility, Colonial(Orlando): Recorded 12 points, five rebounds, two assists and four steals to lead the Grenadiers past Atlantic Coast, 61-28, in a regional playoff game.

Trinity Turner, Point Guard, Dr. Phillips: Turned in a stellar game with 17 points and 11 rebounds for a double-double and added eight assists and four steals to lead the Panthers past Tohopekaliga (Kissimmee), 94-37.

Jayda Scorza, Power Forward/Center, Lake Mary: Senior recorded a double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds to propel the Rams past Spruce Creek (Port Orange), 42-37.

Yanija Lawson, Power Forward, Spruce Creek: The 5-11 senior scored 20 points in a loss to Lake Mary.

Camila Depool, Guard, Lake Highland Prep: Talented senior notched 18 points and four rebounds to lift the Highlanders past The Villages Charter, 77-45.

Erynn Moffett, Guard/Forward, Palm Bay: Recorded 10 points, three rebounds and three steals to propel the Pirates past Umatilla, 63-13, in a regional quarterfinal game.
