Vote: Who has been Florida's top girls flag football quarterback this 2024 season so far?

There’s an air raid across Sunshine State football fields these days, and girls flag football quarterbacks are loving it.

A couple weeks into the 2024 season, state signal-callers are putting up huge numbers and lighting up the scoreboard. A good number of them have had strong numbers so far. 

We took a look at schools throughout the state and came up with 10 quarterbacks that we nominated for Best Quarterback in Florida just a couple weeks into 2024.

Editor’s note: Our corresponding poll is intended to be fun, and we do not set limits on how many times a fan can vote during the competition. This poll is specifically for fans to vote on the players that have been nominated and in no way discredits any other player that may not be mentioned in our poll.

The voting will conclude Sunday, Mar. 31, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern.

Here are the nominees: 

Haidyn Spano, Robinson: Can’t ignore the kinda numbers Spano has thrown up so far, completing 151 passes for 1,674 yards, 38 touchdowns and just two interceptions. 

Adrienne Rivera, Fort Pierce Central: From the preseason to this point in the regular season, Rivera has been on fire throwing the ball. The passer has completed 177-of-274 passes for 2,461 yards and 29 touchdowns. 

Isabella Kendall, Navarre: The Raiders’ passer has been very productive this spring, completing 180-of-286 passes for 1,779 yards and 27 touchdowns. 

Abby Elwell, Lennard: About as accurate as they come when it comes to throwing the rock. Elwell has completed 193 passes for 1,763 yards and 21 touchdowns. 

Amaya Pablo, Pace: Just a sophomore, Pablo has continued her year under center for the Patriots, completing 183-of-247 for 2,075 yards and 34 touchdowns and just three picks. 

Keelin Coleman, Wellington: Coleman has rocked it for the Wolverines, with the quarterback completing 129-of-189 passes for 1,708 yards, 28 touchdowns and two interceptions. 

Gabby Werr, Alonso: The first-year starter has been impressive for the Ravens, with Werr completing 99-of-147 passes for 1,386 yards and 25 touchdowns. 

Ava Wotipka, Somerset Academy Canyons: Wotipka has been one of South Florida’s top signal callers, completing 151-of-224 passes for 1,493 yards and 32 touchdowns. 

Cydnee Brooks, Braden River: Brooks has done a really nice job for the Pirates, completing 162-of-229 passes for 1,596 yards and 29 touchdowns. 

Jerniyah Fowles, Homestead: The Broncos quarterback has taken care of the football about as good as anyone, throwing for 1,367 yards, 22 touchdowns and just one mere interception.
