RETURNING

TOP OFFENSIVE PLAYERS

QB Marshall Eucker 6-5, 218, sr.

WR Trevor Gonzales 6-5, 180, sr.

RB Aiden Lippert 5-8, 160, jr.

OL Jacob Saewitz 6-2, 245, sr.

WR Blake Witsenburg 6-0, 180, sr.

TOP DEFENSIVE PLAYERS

LB Ozzie Nicholas 6-2, 230, sr.

DB Kris Sanchez 6-2, 190, jr.

DE Chad Nuschy 6-2, 215, sr.

DB Garrett Woodward 6-2, 190, sr.

LB Jason Martinez 5-11, 190, sr.

THREE TO SEE

Ozzie Nicholas, linebacker

The leader of the Mavericks defense has racked up double digit scholarship offers and will be looking to repeat as a 1st Team All-CIF Selection.

Marshall Eucker, quarterback

His 2nd season as the varsity starter should provide experience for the Mavericks offense.

Trevor Gonzales, wide receiver

Should have a big year as he poses a mismatch for most defenders around the county.

OUTLOOK

If the offensive line can give them time, Gonzalez and Eucker could end up being one of the best pass-catching duos in the county.

Injuries derailed a playoff run last season, but enough key pieces return to envision the Mavericks making a championship appearance.

Nicholas, Nuschy, and Martinez will have to pick up the slack up front for an inexperienced secondary.
