Here are the candidates for SBLive’s Georgia High School Athlete of the Week for November 27-December 2 as nominated by fans, readers and SBLive’s staff. Read through the nominees and cast your vote at the bottom of the page. Voting will conclude on Saturday, December 9 at 11:59 p.m. and the winner will be announced in next week's poll.

Here are this week's nominees:

Luke Nickel, Milton Football

Nickel left it all on the field and also left no doubt that he is one of the best quarterbacks in the state after his performance in Milton’s win over Grayson. He threw for 434 yards and four touchdowns, while also having 55 yards on the ground with a rushing touchdown and not a single turnover.

Jeremy Hecklinski, Walton Football

Hecklinski balled out and literally couldn’t be stopped by Camden County’s defense. He finished with 317 yards and six touchdowns, three in each half. He has led an offense that has scored an average of 56 points per game in four playoff games.

Trey Benton, Thomas County Central Football

Benton was the engine in the Yellow Jackets offense, he rushed for 195 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries.

Fred Brown, Coffee Football

Brown was entrusted by his team to carry the ball 40 times and he turned it into 190 rushing yards and two touchdowns, to carry his team to a win over Cartersville.

Jayden Scott, Stockbridge Football

Scott has had a standout senior season, and he continues to impress deep into this playoff run. He shutdown any hopes of Benedictine advancing with his 310 yards on the ground and three touchdowns.

Colter Ginn, Perry Football

Ginn went 20-for-31 for 382 yards, two touchdowns, and no interceptions to lead his team to a win over Starr’s Mill to get Perry to the State Championship.

Zo Smalls, Savannah Christian Football

The junior carried the ball 31 times and gained 214 yards on the ground and scored three of the team’s four offensive touchdowns.

Aaron Philo, Prince Avenue Christian Football

Philo went 23-of-31 for 490 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions to lead the Wolverines in a dominant win over Bryan County.

Braedan Lue, Alexander Boys Basketball

Lue put up a double-double with 21 points and 12 rebounds and also added three blocks, two assists, and two steals in a win over Wheeler.

Jax Abernathy, Christian Heritage Boys Basketball

Abernathy showed off his scoring ability with 29 points while also adding nine boards, a steal and a block which all helped his team defeat South Paulding.

Joseph Womack, Darlington Boys Basketball

Womack dropped 22 points with two steals in the victory over River Ridge.

Tavarea Williams, Temple Boys Basketball

Williams stuffed the stat sheet versus Cavalry Day. He finished with 22 points (six made threes), five rebounds, three assists and on the defensive end, six steals.

CJ Gaines, Cavalry Day Boys Basketball

Gaines’ 24 points and three steals to lead Cavalry Day to a win over Temple.

Malachi Jackson, Houston County Boys Basketball

Jackson had a 10 point, 10 assist double-double and also added five boards in a win over Jones County.

Keenan Gray, McDonough Boys Basketball

Gray went to work versus Woodland, dropping 33 points with four rebounds, four assists, four steals and two blocks.

Heze Kent, Brunswick Boys Basketball

The 6-foot-7 forward was on his A-game in a win over Lowndes. He finished with 19 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks.

John Griffith, Monroe Boys Basketball

Griffith handled his business around the rim, whether it be scoring or getting boards. He finished with a 16-point, 16-rebound double-double in a win over Social Circle.

Sidney Flaggs, Groves Boys Basketball

Flaggs balled out in a comeback win over Long County. He scored 30 points and also contributed with three assists and five steals.

Kie’Aundria Acree, Monroe Girls Basketball

Acree had her fourth straight 30-point game and her fifth straight double-double in the win over Terrell County. She finished with 32 points, 10 rebounds (five offensive), five assists, and two steals.

Morgan Blake, Mount Pisgah Girls Basketball

Blake had a monster game versus King’s Ridge. She finished with a 25-point, 16 rebound double-double while also holding it down on the defensive end with two steals and a block.

Taylor Rietveld, Camden County Girls Basketball

Rietveld went off with a triple-double versus South Effingham. She finished with 30 points, 15 rebounds, and 10 steals.

Addi Petitt, Loganville Christian Girls Basketball

Petitt also had herself a triple-double, flirted with a quadruple-double and showed off her defensive prowess. She finished with 35 points (season high), seven rebounds, ten assists, and ten steals.

Emahni Chambliss, Chapel Hill Girls Basketball

Chambliss dropped a career-high 31 points versus Alexander.

Mackenna Nix, Temple Girls Basketball

Nix gave it all she had versus Rome, she had a stat-stuffing double. Nix finished with 19 points, 16 rebounds, two assists, four steals, and a block.
