It's time once again to take a deep dive into the Georgia High School Girls Basketball scene to select our Player of the Week. We seek your assistance and ask you to look at this week's candidates and vote for the candidate you find most deserving..

As such, we have 10 athletes nominated this week for the SBLive’s Georgia High School Girlss Basketball player of the Week award from December 25-30, and we ask you, the fans, to help decide who should indeed be the top athlete selected. Voting will conclude on Sunday, January 7th at 11:59 p.m. The winner will be announced in next week's poll.

Editor’s note: Our corresponding poll is intended to be fun, and we do not set limits on how many times a fan can vote during the competition. This poll is specifically for fans to vote on the players that have been nominated and in no way discredits any other player that may not be mentioned in our poll.

Here are this week's nominees:

Mackenna Nix, Temple

Nix went off in two games at the Hilburn Patterson Invitational. Versus Rockmart she had a double-double with 24 points, 13 rebounds and added four steals. Against Cedartown she had another double-double with 25 points, 14 rebounds, five steals, and three blocks.

Shy Foster, Lamar County

Foster broke two Lamar County records in a win over Morgan County. She scored her 1,868th career point and hit eight threes in the game.

Jailee Allen, Warren County

Allen did it all in a win over Hapeville. She finished with 24 points, four boards, one assist, seven steals and one block.

Jakerra Butler, Hebron Christian

Butler helped her team capture its 11th win of the season with a monster 23-point, 18 rebound double-double.

Lucy Hood, Rabun County

Hood scored a game-high 28 points and dished out five dimes in the win over Union County.

Tristahja Slocum, Rome

Slocum had a monster double-double with 17 points and 17 rebounds in the win over Christian Heritage.

Ashanti Brown, Bryan

Brown scored 18 points and hauled in 13 rebounds in the win over Montgomery.

Claire Mackenny, Lassiter

Mackenny scored a game-high 28 points and hauled in a game-high 13 rebounds in a blowout win over Spencer.

Lily Conkell, Woodstock

Conkell stuffed the stat-sheet with 24 points, six boards, six assists, and five steals in a win over Christian Heritage.

Alyssa Staten, Statesboro

Staten put up an impressive triple-double with 15 points, 21 rebounds, and 10 blocks which gives her 1,000 career rebounds.
