It's time once again to take a deep dive into the Georgia High School Girls Basketball scene to select our Player of the Week. We seek your assistance and ask you to look at this week's candidates and vote for the candidate you find most deserving..

As such, we have 11 athletes nominated this week for the SBLive’s Georgia High School Girls Basketball player of the Week award from January 1-6, and we ask you, the fans, to help decide who should indeed be the top athlete selected. Voting will conclude on Sunday, January 14th at 11:59 p.m. The winner will be announced in next week's poll.

Editor’s note: Our corresponding poll is intended to be fun, and we do not set limits on how many times a fan can vote during the competition. This poll is specifically for fans to vote on the players that have been nominated and in no way discredits any other player that may not be mentioned in our poll.

Here are this week's nominees:

Shy Foster, Lamar County

Foster scored a game-high 27 points, while also hauling in seven boards, dishing out two assists, and getting three steals and two blocks in the win over Upson Lee.

Marley Bell, Montgomery County

Bell had a monster double-double in the win over Telfair County. She finished with 30 points and 20 rebounds, while also adding four steals and three assists.

Toni Warren, Cherokee

Warren recorded a double-double with 26 points and 10 rebounds versus North Paulding.

Ava Riley, Mays

Riley scored half of Chapel Hill’s points. She went off for 31 points, eight assists, six boards, and six steals.

Mekiah Evans, Mays

Evans joined in on the fun in the blowout win over Mays. She finished with 28 points, 12 rebounds and five blocks.

Lucy Hood, Rabun County

Hood stuffed the stat sheet in a win versus Stephens County. She finished with 27 points, six rebounds, five assists and three steals.

Chazadi Wright, Wesleyan

Wright locked in a double-double with 22 points and 11 rebounds, while also dishing out four dimes in the win over Bradley Central.

Tianna Thompson, Galloway

Thompson went off for 38 points against a tough Winter Haven (FL) squad.

I’Ziah McCuthchins, Trion

McCutchins did it all in the nail biting win over Armuchee. She finished with 29 points, six assists and eight steals.

Tianna Rabsatt, Dacula

Rabsatt asserted her dominance in the overtime win. She finished with 22 points, 16 rebounds and four blocks to lead her team to its 11th win on the season.

Lyric Green, Dodge County

Green went to work and helped finish off Worth County with a 29 point, 15-rebound double-double.
