We're taking one more look at the top individual performers of the 2022 Indiana high school football season with fan votes for the offensive and defensive players of the year

Check out the write-ups on each player and then vote in the poll, which will remain open until Sunday, March 5 at 11:59 p.m.

Luke Adams, WR, Sullivan

Adams, a 5-11, 170-pounder, was the main target in the Golden Arrows' passing attack. The senior caught 70 passes for 1,086 yards and he was among the state leaders in receiving touchdowns with 18. He helped Sullivan to a 7-5 overall record and was named the Sullivan Daily Times Player of the Year as well as earning a selection to the IFCA 2A Senior All-State Team.

Qade Carrington, QB, Northridge

It was a great season for Carrington as he was fourth in the state in passing yards (2,916), threw 29 touchdown passes, and added five more scores on the ground while leading Northridge to an 8-5 record. The 6-2, 190-pounder earned all-Northern Lakes Conference honors as well as being selected to the IFCA 4A Senior All-State team.

Micah Coyle, RB, Center Grove

Coyle was the Trojans' workhorse in the backfield. The 5-11, 185-pound senior powered his way to 22 rushing touchdowns and was eighth in the state in rushing yards with 2,072. Coyle also added 111 receiving yards and a touchdown while helping the Trojans to a 12-2 record and the 6A state title. The running back was named to the IFCA Top 50 All-State Team and was one of three finalists for the Indiana Mr. Football Award.

Tyler Dollar, RB, Lapel

A senior running back, Dollar had a great season while rallying the Bulldogs to a 7-6 overall record after a 4-5 regular season. The 5-11, 180-pounder was fourth in the state in rushing yards with 2,346 while scoring 31 total touchdowns – 30 rushing and one receiving. Dollar was named all-area and THB Sports Football Offensive Athlete of the Year as well as earning his second IFCA 2A All-State team selection.

Jalen Fowler, WR, Corydon Central

A first-year starter, Fowler enjoyed a successful senior campaign as he caught 71 passes for 1,197 yards (fourth in the state) and was second in the state in receiving touchdowns with 19. The 6-0, 145-pounder was an all-Mid Southern Conference selection.

Hunter Gennicks, QB, Linton-Stockton

Gennicks starred on both sides of the ball for Linton-Stockton but led the Miners offense as a dual-threat quarterback. The 5-11, 195-pound senior threw for 1,565 yards and 22 touchdowns and ran for 2,082 yards (seventh in the state) and 34 touchdowns while helping Linton-Stockton to a 13-1 record. Gennicks was a IFCA 2A Senior All-State Selection and was an Indiana Preps Player of the Year finalist.

Trey Gibson, RB, Hobart

While starting in the Hobart backfield for the fourth year in a row, Gibson rushed for 1,844 yards and 26 touchdowns while adding another 286 receiving yards and three touchdowns. The 6-0, 190-pounder helped lead the Brickies to an 8-4 record and he earned all-area honors as well as his third IFCA 4A All-State selection.

Mylan Graham, WR, New Haven 

One of the top junior wide receiver prospects nationally, Graham had an outstanding season as he recorded 57 catches for 1,199 yards and 14 touchdowns and racked up 1,774 all-purpose yards in 10 games.

Luke Hansen, RB, Roncalli

A senior, Hansen was hard to bring down for Roncalli this season. The 5-11, 205-pound running back led the state with 3,080 rushing yards to go along with 35 rushing touchdowns and two receiving touchdowns. With his output this season, Hansen became Roncalli’s career and single season rushing record holder and he was named to the IFCA Top 50 All-State Team and first team All-Circle City Conference as well as being named the Marion County Player of the Year.

Cooper Horn, WR, Columbus North

The Bulldogs had a playmaking receiver all season as Horn caught 71 passes for 1,471 yards (second in state) and had a state-leading 20 receiving touchdowns. The 6-3, 180-pounder had a breakout performance during a Week 3 win over Southport in which he caught nine passes for 224 yards and four touchdowns. Horn was named The Republic’s Football Player of the Year and was selected to the IFCA 6A Senior All-State Team.

Brauntae Johnson, WR, Fort Wayne North Side

A highly-touted Division I football and basketball recruit, Johnson lived up to expectations this season as the go-to target in the Legends' offense. The 6-3, 180-pounder caught 69 passes for 1,081 yards, 16 touchdowns, and he added another touchdown on the ground while helping North Side to an 8-3 record. Johnson was honored with a selection to the IFCA Top 50 All-State Team.

Robert Lamar, RB, Clarksville

Lamar had a huge season for Clarksville this year as the Generals' featured back. He was second in the state in rushing yards with 3,035 and was third in the state with 38 total touchdowns (37 rushing and one defensive). In a Week 10 contest against Eastern, Lamar rushed for 432 yards and eight touchdowns in a 70-42 win. The 5-10, 185-pound senior was selected to the IFCA 2A Senior All-State Team.

Arjun Lothe, QB, Indian Creek

The senior quarterback emerged as one of the state's top passers last fall. Lothe finished third in the state in passing yards with 2,959, threw for 28 touchdowns, and rushed for another five scores while leading the Braves to a 7-4 record. The 6-4, 175-pound lefty received the team Offensive MVP award and was a selection to the IFCA 3A Senior All-State Team as an athlete.

Micah Mackey, WR, Indianapolis Lutheran

A 6-2, 195-pounder, Mackey solidified himself as one of the top pass catchers in the state. While helping the Saints to a perfect 15-0 record and the 1A state title, the senior caught 64 passes for 1,403 yards (third in the state) and 16 touchdowns. Mackey was named to the IFCA Top 50 All-State Team and he was a finalist for Indiana Preps Player of the Year.

Reid Messer, RB, North Decatur

Messer was a scoring machine for the Chargers this season. The senior rushed for 1,604 yards and 36 touchdowns, had four receiving touchdowns and added a punt return touchdown while helping North Decatur to a 13-1 record. His 41 total touchdowns was the second most in the state. The 6-1, 195-pounder earned all-Mid-Eastern Conference honors and was named to the IFCA Top 50 All-State Team as a defensive back.

Max Mullis, QB, West Lafayette

Mullis was the star of the Red Devils' offense this season both with his arm and his legs. The 6-0, 190-pound senior threw for 2,580 yards and 31 touchdowns and rushed for 1,156 yards and 21 touchdowns. Mullis led West Lafayette to a 13-1 record, was selected to the IFCA 3A Senior All-State Team, and was a finalist for the Indiana Preps Player of the Year.

Danny O’Neil, QB, Cathedral

A junior and a Division I prospect, O’Neil has already had a storied high school career. This season, the 6-1, 185-pounder led the Fighting Irish to a 10-2 record while throwing for 2,654 yards and 32 touchdowns along with 293 rushing yards and nine scores. O’Neil was All-City and named All-City Offensive Player of the Year, he was recognized with the Team MVP Award, and he was named to the IFCA Top 50 All-State Team.

Nick Patterson, QB, Mooresville

Patterson was a dual-threat standout for the Pioneers this season while leading them to an 8-3 record. The 6-1, 215-pound senior threw for 2,147 yards and 23 touchdowns and ran for 1,221 yards and another 15 scores. Patterson was an all-Mid State Conference selection as well as being honored as the conference Offensive Player of the Year and the IFCA Top 50 All-State Team.

Josh Ringer, RB, East Central (St. Leon)

Ringer broke out for East Central this season and he was a key piece of the 4A state champions success this season. The junior rushed for 2,368 yards (third in the state), scored a state-best 42 touchdowns (39 rushing and three receiving), and he threw a touchdown pass. The 6-1, 190-pounder was honored with Team MVP and Conference MVP awards, and he was selected to the IFCA 4A Junior All-State Team.

Brad Schultz, WR, Triton Central

Schultz helped lead Triton Central to a 10-3 season this year and emerged as one of the top receivers in the state. The 5-10, 165-pound senior had 79 catches for a state-leading and school-record 1,492 yards and 17 touchdowns. Schultz was an all-Indiana Crossroads Conference selection and was named to the IFCA 2A Senior All-State Team.

Cooper Simmons-Little, QB, Traders Point Christian

Simmons-Little thrived as Traders Point Christian's starting QB. The 6-1, 175-pound senior threw for 3,227 yards (second most in the state), 37 touchdowns, and added 150 rushing yards and four touchdowns. He was the leader of a high-powered Knights offense that scored more than 32 points per game.

Daniel Tippit IV, QB, New Palestine

A 5-10, 150-pound senior, Tippit had a great season for the 12-1 Dragons. He threw for 2,546 yards and 33 touchdowns to just one interception to go along with 273 yards and five touchdowns on the ground. Tippit helped New Palestine to a Hoosier Heritage Conference title, was an all-conference selection, and he was a finalist for the Indiana Preps Player of the Year.

Kyle Turanchick, RB, Oak Hill

Turanchick was a leader and key piece of Oak Hill’s team that went 9-1 this season. The 6-0, 185-pound senior running back rushed for 1,879 yards and was fifth in the state with 36 total touchdowns. Turanchick helped the Golden Eagles to a Central Indiana Conference title and he was selected to the IFCA 3A Senior All-State Team.

Drew VanVleet, QB, Bishop Chatard

The senior quarterback was a big part of Bishop Chatard’s squad this season. The 6-5, 195-pounder threw for 2,856 yards and 29 touchdowns to help lead the Trojans to an 11-4 record (after a 2-2 start) and the 3A state title. VanVleet was an all-Circle City Conference selection and he earned IFCA 3A Senior All-State Team honors.

Jackson Willis, QB, Indianapolis Lutheran

Although he's only a sophomore, Willis emerged as the state's statistical leader in multiple key passing categories this season. The 6-2, 180-pounder threw for 3,890 yards and 51 touchdowns (both tops in the state) while leading the Saints to a perfect 15-0 record and the 1A state title. Willis was a first team all-conference selection and he was selected to the IFCA 1A Junior All-State Team.

Mason Wunderlich, QB, Evansville Mater Dei

Wunderlich had a great season and helped Mater Dei to a 12-3 overall record and the 2A state championship. The 6-5, 220-pound senior threw for 2,911 yards and 29 touchdowns along with 291 yards and six touchdowns on the ground. Wunderlich was selected to the IFCA Top 50 All-State Team and he was one of the last three finalists for the Indiana Preps Player of the Year.
