Here are the candidates for SBLive's Indiana High School Athlete of the Week as nominated by fans, readers and SBLive’s staff.

Hannah Alexander, Noblesville girls track and field

Had a Hoosier Crossroads Meet record of 157-6 in the discus and also won the shot put at 42-6.

Quinn Backus, Delta boys track and field

Won four events at the Delaware County Meet, helping to break meet records in two relays and setting a school record in the 200 (22.17).

Alex Barr, Kankakee Valley baseball

Pitched four no-hit innings with seven strikeouts and was 4-for-4 with a double, a homer and four RBI in a 20-1, five-inning victory against Rensselaer.

Grace Butcher, Barr-Reeve softball

Threw a complete game with eight strikeouts and was 2-for-4 with a triple and two RBIs in a 7-3 win against Heritage Hills.

Sofia Calderaro, Lake Central softball

Pitched a perfect game with six strikeouts to beat Portage 15-0 in five innings. She also threw a seven-hitter with 10 strikeouts and one walk in a 6-1 victory against Crown Point.

Dominic Calhoun, Brownsburg boys track and field

Set a program and meet record of 10.50 in the 100 in the prelims at the Hoosier Crossroads Meet and also set a program record in the 200 at 21.60. In addition, he was on the winning 400 relay team.

Kevin Corcoran Jr., Illiana Christian baseball

Pitched a one-hitter with one walk and 15 strikeouts in a 3-0 shutout of Hanover Central.

Mikayla Derks, Illiana Christian softball

Threw a one-hitter with nine strikeouts and had the Vikings' only hit in a 1-0 shutout of Hanover Central.

Coen Evrard, Floyd Central baseball

Evansville recruit threw a no-hitter with one walk and 13 strikeouts to beat Charlestown 1-0.

Josh Ferguson, Evansville Central baseball

Pitched a three-hitter, struck out nine and went 2-for-4 in a 4-3 victory against Castle.

Jack Gausselin, Marquette baseball

Pitched a five-inning perfect game with 13 strikeouts in a 15-0 shutout of Gary West Side. He also went 3-for-3 with five RBIs.

Jaxon Henke, Evansville Central baseball

Struck out five and allowed two earned runs in five innings, and was 2-for-2 with an RBI in a 7-3 win against Evansville Reitz.

J'NQE Jackson, New Haven girls track and field

Swept the hurdles at the Northeast Eight Meet, running 15.30 in the 100s and a meet-record 45.69 in the 300s.

Natalie Meinert, Boone Grove softball

Natalee Meinert struck out 15 in a 7-1 victory against South Central (Union Mills).

Jake Parker, Norwell boys track and field

Earned three firsts at the Northeast Eight Meet: 110 hurdles (14.86), 400 hurdles (39.96) and 400 relay.

Nicki Southerland, Delta girls track and field

Won four events at the Delaware County Meet, setting three meet records in the process: 2:10.73 in the 800, 4:51.76 in the 1.600 and 58.05 in the 400. The defending state champ in the 3,200 also won that event.

Madison Squire, LaPorte softball

Hit a grand slam and finished with five RBIs in a 15-3, five-inning victory against Valparaiso.

Tyler Tarter, Fishers boys track and field

Swept the hurdles at the Hoosier Crossroads Meet, running 14.46 (just off his state-leading time) in the 110s and a state-best 38.35 in the 300s.

Addison Toczek, Hebron softball

Pitched a five-inning no-hitter with one walk and eight strikeouts and was 3-for-3 with three runs and three RBIs in a 12-0 shutout of Faith Christian. Also homered in a 7-6 loss to New Prairie.

Aubrey Zachary, Penn softball

Threw a one-hitter and had three hits in an 11-0, five-inning shutout of Crown Point.
