Tanner Anderson, Western Dubuque
The junior signal-caller completed 10 of 11 passes for 184 yards and three touchdowns, each to a different receiver. The Bobcats, ranked No. 6 by SBLive, moved to 5-1.
Noah Schimberg, Cedar Rapids Xavier
The junior tailback carried 23 times for 134 yards and two touchdowns as Xavier came from behind to beat North Scott, 26-20, in a battle of Class 4A ranked teams.
Dylan Muszynski, Linn-Mar
The junior wingback, who missed the last two games because of an ankle injury, rushed for 198 yards and three touchdowns on 25 carries in a 35-9 win over Muscatine. Muszysnki also caught two passes for 33 yards.
Brent Yonkovic, West Delware
Yonkovic rushed for 183 yards and four touchdowns and passed for 101 yards in a 41-0 shutout of Center Point-Urbana.
Derrek Weisskopf, Williamsburg
The University of Iowa recruit took over at quarterback after an injury to starter Kellen Cockrell and threw three touchdown passes after hauling in the opening TD pass of the contest. Weisskopf also returned an interception 77 yards for a score in the fifth-ranked Raiders’ 56-14 win over Fairfield.
Dakota Johnson, Decorah
Johnson rushed for 246 yards on 16 carries and scored four touchdowns on runs of 78, 74, 45 and 4 yards – all in the second half – as the Vikings rallied from a 17-7 halftime deficit to down Waverly-Shell Rock 26-20.
Jake Van Etten, North Linn
Van Etten was in on four touchdowns, leading the Lynx to a 42-0 win over Clayton Ridge. He completed 10 of 19 passes for 188 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for 58 yards and two more scores.
C.J. Phillip, Southeast Polk
The senior carried 22 times for 139 yards and three touchdowns as the top-ranked Rams outscored Johnston, 38-35. Iowa State commit Connor Moberly passed for 209 yards and a score for 6-0 Southeast Polk.
Ra’Shawd Davis, West Des Moines Dowling
The junior standout rushed for 197 yards on 32 carries, scoring three touchows for the No. 2 Maroons in a 30-17 win over No. 4 Ankeny Centennial.
E.J. Miller, Independence
The junior quarterback passed for 198 yards and three touchdowns – completing 14 of 22 – and tacked on 67 rushing yards on 15 carries as the Mustangs improved to 5-1 with a 19-14 victory over Dubuque Wahlert.
Gavin Thomas, Aplington-Parkersburg
The senior passed for 248 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for 85 yards and two more scores in the Falcons’ 41-18 win over Central Springs.
Austin Baumhover, Van Meter
Baumhover passed for 184 yards and four touchdowns while adding 39 rushing yards and two more TDs for the No. 6 Bulldogs in a 70-0 thrashing of Chariton. Baumhover threw just seven passes, completing six.
Reece Vander Zee, Central Lyon/George-Little Rock
The senior and Iowa recruit rushed for 254 yards on 17 carries and scored twice, while completing 6 of 8 passes for 85 yards and two touchdowns. The eighth-ranked Lions chalked up their sixth win without a loss, 39-12, over Orange City Unity Christian.
Cole McCarty, Le Mars Gehlen
The Jays’ versatile quarterback had 158 rushing yards on 25 carries and completed 6 0f 9 passes for 65 yards and a score in a 21-20 victory over Sibley-Ocheyedan.
Blake Aalbers, MOC-Floyd Valley
The junior was 21-for-29 for 341 passing yards and three touchdowns in a 28-14 win over Sergeant Bluff-Luton. One of the scoring passes went to Ahman Langton, who had six catches for 140 yards.
Kaden Van Regenmorter, Hull Western Christian
The junior passed for 171 yards and four touchdowns, leading the 5-1
Wolfpack to a 38-14 victory over Sheldon. Western’s Tyler Mantel rushed for a score, caught a TD pass and had an interception.
Brennan Hayes, Creston
The senior has six receptions for 124 yards and a touchdown and rushed for 122 yards and another score in the seventh-ranked and unbeaten Panthers’ 39-0 shutout of Atlantic.
Jacob Doyle, Cedar Rapids Kennedy
The junior rushed for 147 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries as the Cougars handed No. 11 Bettendorf its first loss of the season, 34-14.
Titus Cram, Bondurant-Farrar
The senior carried only five times, but racked up 151 rushing yards and two touchdowns in a 50-0 blanking of Des Moines Hoover. The 13th-ranked Bluejays bolted to a 43-0 lead at halftime.
Brody Patlan, Council Bluffs Lewis Central
The junior rushed for 170 yards and four touchdowns (13 carries) as the No. 14 Titans rolled to a 63-13 win over Council Bluffs Thomas Jefferson.
Aiden Flora, ADM
The senior quarterback scored five touchdowns as the No. 16 Tigers strolled to a 63-8 win over Des Moines North. Flora had 169 rushing yards on seven carries and scored three times and passed for 102 yards and two touchdowns.
Maverick Inman, Waukee Northwest
Two of Inman’s six receptions went for touchdowns as the Wolves eeked out a 31-28 victory over West Des Moines Valley. Inmam had 127 receiving yards and No. 23 Northwest won on a late field goal.
Beckett Bakker, Waukee
The sophomore completed 15 of 19 passes for 161 yards and three touchdowns in the No. 23 Warriors’ 58-0 win over Des Moines Lincoln.
Colin Gordon, Grundy Center
Gordon, a senior, passed for 215 yards and five touchdowns as the No. 24 Spartans remained unbeaten with a 42-14 win over South Hardin. Gordon was 8-for-10 and three of the TD passes went to Tiernan Vokes.
Brett White, Solon
The senior linebacker accumulated 16.5 tackles, including five for loss and 1.5 sacks, while also recovering a fumble in the No. 25 Spartans’ 16-13 victory over Benton.
