Grant Glausser, Western Dubuque
Glausser rambled for 301 yards and scored three touchdowns for the Class 4A second-ranked Bobcats in a 28-7 win over Decorah. Glausser, the state’s leading rusher with 1,757 yards, carried 29 times, scoring on runs of 34, 3 and 85 yards.
Miles Parlet, Iowa City High
The senior carried 29 times for 142 yards and two touchdowns, leading the Little Hawks to a 30-0 win over Linn-Mar. Parlet scored on runs of 6 and 1 yards and increased his season total to 1,177 yards and 11 touchdowns.
Trey Franck, Marion
Franck had 155 rushing yards on 16 carries and the Wolves blanked Mason City 38-0. The game was played in a downpour and Marion rushed for 262 yards on 42 carries.
Noah Schimberg, Cedar Rapids Xavier
Schimberg was the workhorse as Xavier wrapped up the Class 4A District 3 title with a 35-7 win over Clear Creek-Amana. Schimberg carried 25 times for 146 yards and scored two touchdowns.
Cael Benesh, North Linn
Benesh had four of his team’s eight interceptions, returning two for touchdowns in a 56-6 victory over Bellevue. Benesh’s pick-sixes were from 52 and 42 yards out.
Jayden Hanson, Central City
The senior accounted for five touchdowns – all in the first half – and Central City, the No. 8-ranked team in 8-player, rolled to a 66-18 win over Midland. Hanson passed for 99 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for 76 yards and three scores.
Gentry Dumont, Iowa City Regina
Dumont rushed for two touchdowns and passed for another for Class 1A seventh-ranked Regina in a 35-0 shutout of fifth-ranked Wilton. Jackson Naeve scored on a 46-yard run and a 39-yard pass from Dumont.
Brennen Dale, West Branch
The sophomore passed for 208 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for 64 yards and three scores in the Bears’ 42-0 win over Durant to end the regular season. West Branch will host a 1A playoff game this week.
Preston Ries, Monticello
The University of Iowa commit rushed for 166 yards and four touchdowns and passed for 144 yards and two more scores, leading Class 2A fourth-ranked Monticello to a 57-6 triumph over Tipton.
Noah Henderson, Sumner-Fredericksburg
Henderson carried 12 times for 140 yards and two touchdowns as the Cougars finished the regular season with a 27-0 shutout of Aplington-Parkersburg. Sumner-Fredericksburg clinched its second straight and 10th overall Class 1A playoff berth.
Tucker Ladeburg, Wapsie Valley
The senior had 9.5 tackles and an interception as Wapsie Valley won its seventh straight and earned its 34th consecutive trip to the playoffs with a 32-6 win over Nashua-Plainfield.
MaKade Bloker, Clarksville
Bloker rushed for two touchdowns and intercepted a pass for the 8-player fourth-ranked Indians breezed to a 48-6 win over Meskwaki Settlement. Clarksville wrapped up a 9-0 regular season and hosts Turkey Valley in a first-round playoff game.
Braden McShane, New Hampton
McShane rushed for 288 yards on 44 carries and scored four touchdowns, but the Chickasaws lost in overtime to Waukon, 28-27. New Hampton still made the playoffs despite losing their first four games.
Max Knudsen, Osage
The senior went out in style, passing for 231 yards and three touchdowns while rushing for 75 yards and another score in a 52-0 win over Oelwein.
Kale Zuehl, West Hancock
Zuehl rushed for 215 yards on 16 carries and scored four touchdowns, leading the Class A No. 3 Eagles to a 67-13 rout of Mason City Newman. West Hancock hosts Le Mars Gehlen in a first-round playoff game.
Lance Coon, Humboldt
Schmitt ran for 161 yards on 26 carries as Humboldt handed previously unbeaten Clear Lake a 34-0 setback. Coon scored two touchdowns for the playoff-bound Wildcats.
Adrien Robbins, PCM
The junior finished with 238 rushing yards (27 carries) and three touchdowns, along with 68 receiving yards and another score in a 45-6 win over Iowa Falls-Alden. Robbins rushed for 1,710 yards and 21 touchdowns in the regular season.
Anthony King, Starmont
The senior rushed for 184 yards on 32 carries and the Stars wrapped up a 7-1 regular season with a 27-6 win over Maquoketa Valley.
Connor Moberly, Southeast Polk
The Iowa State recruit passed for 225 yards and two touchdowns and scored the game-winning touchdown in the third overtime as the Class 5A top-ranked Rams clipped No. 2 West Des Moines Dowling 37-34. C.J. Phillip, a transfer from Dowling, had 105 yards and two touchdowns for unbeaten and defending state champion Southeast Polk.
Caleb Moore, Council Bluffs Lewis Central
The senior rushed for two touchdowns, caught a touchdown pass and led the Titans with six tackles in a 42-13 win over Norwalk. Junior quarterback Brady Hetzel passed for two scores and ran for another.
Ben Gordon, Van Meter
Gordon carried 17 times for 236 yards and four touchdowns as Van Meter, last year’s Class 1A state champions now playing in Class 2A, wrapped up an unbeaten regular season with a 47-3 victory over Interstate 35.
Graham Jensen, Underwood
The senior had 8.0 tackles, including 3.0 for loss, as the Eagles posted their fourth straight shutout, 56-0 over Red Oak. It was the fifth shutout overall for Underwood, ranked second in Class 1A.
Connor King, Saint Ansgar
The senior rushed for 169 yards on 27 carries, scoring two touchdowns for the Class A top-ranked Saints in a 31-6 win over Lake Mills. Saint Ansgar begins playoffs against Sibley-Ocheyedan.
Drew Kluender, Woodbury Central
The senior quarterback passed for two touchdowns and ran for two in a 55-0 win over West Monona. Kluender had 122 passing yards and 108 rushing for the Class A second-ranked Wildcats.
Cael Turner, Creston
Turner completed 13 of 24 passes for 242 yards and three touchdowns as the Panthers moved to 8-0 with a 42-28 win over Nevada. Jack Walter recorded 12 tackles for unbeaten Creston.
Cam Buffington, Winfield-Mt. Union
The versatile Buffington, headed to the University of Iowa, rushed for three touchdowns on offense and had 9.5 tackles, 2.0 for loss and 2.0 sacks as the Wolves, ranked No. 1 in 8-player, mauled HLV, 66-0.
