Aliyah Al-Hameed, Waukee Northwest girls basketball
The senior tallied 17 points, hitting five of seven 3-pointers, to lead Class 5A No. 12 Waukee Northwest to a 49-42 win over No. 8 West Des Moines Valley.
Joe Bean, Cedar Rapids Kennedy boys basketball
The senior guard charted a double-double for the Class 5A top-ranked Cougars in a 79-53 victory over Linn-Mar. Bean finished with 19 points and 11 rebounds, hitting four 3-pointers.
Miriam Beenken, North Iowa girls basketball
The senior put up a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds, leading the Bison to a 44-26 victory over Saint Ansgar. Beenken was 7-for-10 from the field, blocked four shots and had three steals and three assists.
Tyme Boettcher, Panorama girls basketball
The senior contributed 23 points, eight rebounds and six assists as the Class 2A second-ranked Panthers remained unbeaten at 11-0 with a 56-43 win over Nodaway Valley.
Macy Boge, North Linn girls basketball
The senior finished with 24 points and five assists as the top-ranked Lynx beat No. 13 Springville 69-31 in a matchup of state-ranked Class 1A teams. North Linn improved to 11-1.
Divine Bourrage, Davenport North girls basketball
The junior hit for 27 points, eight rebounds and three steals, leading the Wildcats, ranked No. 2 in Class 5A, to a 70-44 win over Bettendorf. North raised its record to 12-2.
Sarah Burton, Highland girls basketball
The senior was all over the court in a 47-38 victory over Hillcrest Academy. Burton grabbed 22 rebounds to go along with 20 points, hitting 8 of 12 shots. The 5-9 Burton also had seven blocked shots and six steals.
Macy Comito, Carlisle girls basketball
Comito, a 5-9 sophomore, poured in 36 points to go along with six assists, five rebounds and four steals as the Class 4A 12th-ranked Wildcats clipped Gilbert, 73-71.
Jaidyn Coon, Storm Lake boys basketball
The sophomore had a dominant performance for the Tornadoes in a 64-45 win over Alta-Aurelia. Cone scored 23 points and snared 19 rebounds for a double-double.
Abby Douma, Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn girls basketball
The junior charted a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds as the Hawks downed Sheldon 62-41. Douma, who was 6-for-10 from the field, added five blocked shots and two steals.
Graclyn Eastman, Algona Garrigan girls basketball
The freshman star charted a double-double for the defending Class 1A state champions in a 69-31 win over Mason City Newman. Eastman finished with 23 points and 14 rebounds for the eighth-ranked Golden Bears, now 12-1.
Abram Edwards, Winfield-Mt. Union boys basketball
The senior double-doubled with 25 points and 13 rebounds as the Class 1A third-ranked Wolves rolled to a 95-48 win over Louisa-Muscatine.
Lena Evans, Clear Creek-Amana girls basketball
The sophomore hit five 3-point shots and scored 15 points for the Class 4A second-ranked Clippers (11-0) in a 50-47 win over Class 3A No. 2 Mount Vernon (11-1).
Caleb Hemphill, Harris-Lake Park boys basketball
The senior tossed in 25 points, leading the Wolves to a 66-60 victory over Sibley-Ocheyedan. Hemphill added six rebounds, four assists and three steals.
Michael Hensley, Sidney boys basketball
The junior tossed in 24 points and grabbed seven rebounds in a losing cause for the Cowboys in a 77-56 loss to Clarinda.
Hunter Hillman, Saint Ansgar boys basketball
The senior scored 20 points and snared 18 rebounds for the Saints in a 63-42 win over North Iowa. The 6-foot-6 Hillman also blocked eight shots, handed out four assists and had two steals.
Hunter Horn, Fort Dodge St. Edmond boys basketball
Horn, a 6-4 sophomore, had 32 points and 17 rebounds for the Gaels in a 71-53 victory over Manson-Northwest Webster. Horn connected on 15 of his 21 shots.
Cadence Huck, Nashua-Plainfield girls basketball
The junior hit for 34 points while adding 10 steals, six rebounds and three assists in the Huskies’ 72-31 victory over Postville.
Noah John, Grand View Christian boys basketball
The senior posted a rare triple-double in the Thunder’s 80-40 victory over Des Moines East. John finished with 15 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists.
Madisen Kellogg, Winfield-Mt. Union girls basketball
The sophomore had a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds, leading the Wolves to a 41-37 win over Louisa-Muscatine. Kellogg snared nine offensive rebounds in the contest.
Aiden Klostermann, Central City boys basketball
The senior finished with 20 points, five rebounds and three steals, helping the Wildcats get past Calamus-Wheatland, 66-56. Klostermann made all eight of his free throw attempts.
Courtney Knoche, Calamus-Wheatland girls basketball
The senior finished with 20 points, seven rebounds and three steals as the Class 1A seventh-ranked Warriors improved to 12-1 with a 70-42 win over Central City.
Mallory Learar, West Hancock girls basketball
The senior tossed in 25 points and added five assists, leading the Eagles to a 67-30 win over North Butler
Matthew Malven, Nashua-Plainfield boys basketball
Malven, a sophomore, hit 8 of 11 shots and tallied 23 points, leading the Huskies to a 78-65 win over Postville. Malven hit four 3-pointers and added seven assists, five rebounds and five steals.
Michael Martin, Iowa City Regina boys basketball
The senior scored 30 points and grabbed five rebounds in the Regals’ 69-52 win over Mid-Prairie. Martin made 12 of 16 shots, including six of seven 3-pointers.
Morgan Miller, Iowa City Regina girls basketball
The junior had 23 points and five assists for the Class 2A fourth-ranked Regals in a 70-46 victory over Mid-Prairie. Miller made 9 of 12 shots, including four 3-pointers.
Finley Netten, Van Meter girls basketball
The junior scored a game-high 22 points and handed out three assists for the Bulldogs in a 62-32 victory over Interstate 35.
Ty Pflughaupt, North Linn boys basketball
The senior had 22 points and nine rebounds for the unbeaten and Class 1A top-ranked Lynx in a 69-36 win over Springville. North Linn ran its record to 11-0.
Addie Rhoades, Hudson girls basketball
Rhoades, a junior, scored 24 points and grabbed 17 rebounds for the Pirates in a 68-60 win over Waterloo Columbus. Rhoades also had four blocked shots and two steals.
Kendall Riherd, Aplington-Parkersburg girls basketball
The senior had a double-double, scoring 13 points and grabbing 15 rebounds for the Class 2A 14th-ranked Falcons in a 46-38 win over Denver.
Toryn Severson, Madrid boys basketball
The junior had a double-double with 26 points and 12 rebounds as the Tigers breezed past Woodward Academy, 74-34. Severson was 4-for-6 on 3-pointers.
Rayce Snyder, Wayne boys basketball
The senior popped in 32 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in the Falcons’ 65-58 win over previously unbeaten Moravia. Snyder tacked on three assists and two blocked shots.
Emilie Sorensen, Waukee girls basketball
The junior scored 23 points, grabbed six rebounds and dished out two assists, leading No. 4 Waukee past No. 7 Ankeny 54-50 in a matchup of state-ranked Class 5A squads.
Dylan Stecker, Spirit Lake boys basketball
The junior not only fired in 30 points but made it a double-double with 10 rebounds as the Indians rolled to a 71-45 win over Okoboji. Stecker made 13 of 16 shots.
Addison Steenhoek, PCM girls basketball
The junior tossed in 26 points, leading the Mustangs to a 57-51 victory over Grand View Christian. Steenhoek made four 3-point shots and dished out two assists.
Aiden Stensrud, Lake Mills boys basketball
The junior standout posted a double-double of 19 points and 11 rebounds for the 10-1 Bulldogs in an 87-51 romp past Belmond-Klemme. Stensrud made 8 of 10 shots.
Sawyer Stout, Keota boys basketball
The senior scored 21 points and handed out eight assists as the uneaten Eagles (11-0) downed North Mahaska, 74-64. Billie Kindred tacked on 15 points and 13 rebounds.
Grant Tigges, Waukee Northwest boys basketball
The senior scored 21 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as the Wolves beat defending Class 5A state champion West Des Moines Valley 64-59. Tigges tacked on five assists.
Claire Turner, Spirit Lake girls basketball
The sophomore posted a double-double with 27 points and 11 rebounds, leading the Class 3A No. 12 Indians to a 56-32 triumph over Okoboji. Turner hit five 3-pointers and also had four assists and two steals.
Elsyionna Westerfield, Cedar Rapids Washington girls basketball
Westerfield, a freshman, hit 12 of 15 shots and finished with 30 points for the Warriors in a 77-37 victory over Dubuque Senior.
Matson Winings, South Winneshiek boys basketball
The sophomore had a double-double with 22 points and 11 rebounds, leading the Warriors to a 69-40 victory over Central Elkader. Winings also had four steals and two blocked shots.
