Here are some stars from the past week's high school boys basketball games across Iowa.

Carson Baak, Emmetsburg

The 5-10 junior guard hit 11 of his 14 shots as the E-Hawks got past Hinton, 61-57, in a Class 2A second-round district contest. Baak also handed out six assist.

Emiliano Barrantes, Grand View Christian

The 6-foot-9 junior posted a double-double with 14 points and 14 rebounds, leading the Thunder to an 84-43 Class 1A district win over Central Dectur. Barrantes leads Class 1A and is the second-leading rebounder in the state with a 14.7 average.

Mason Bechen, North Linn

Bechen, a 6-1 junior guard, fired in 31 points to lead the top-ranked Lynx to a 96-43 rout of Janesville in a Class 1A district second-rounder. Bechen also contributed four rebounds and four assists.

Michael Boyd, Gladbrook-Reinbeck

The 6-5 junior had 17 points and 13 rebounds for a double-double as the Rebels downed Belle Plaine, 56-51, in a Class 1A district game. Boyd made 8 of 11 shots and added four blocks and three steals.

Cal Heydon, Coon Rapids-Bayard

The 6-4 sophomore double-doubled with 21 points and 11 rebounds, leading the 19-4 Crusaders to a 51-44 Class 1A district win over Audubon. Heydon knocked down four shots from beyond the arc.

Ephraim Hoefert, Central Lyon

The junior finished with 27 points, eight rebounds and three assists for the defending Class 2A state champion Lions in a 76-44 second-round district win over Kingsley-Pierson.

Collin Homan, Remsen St. Mary’s

The 6-foot-6 junior scored 33 points and grabbed seven rebounds, leading the Hawks to a 70-46 victory over Boyden-Hull in a Class 1A district contest. Homan was 12-for-16 from the field and canned four 3-pointers.

Jackson Lieurance, Cascade

The junior not only tossed in 29 points, but added five rebounds, three assists and two steals as the 10th-ranked Cougars clipped Northeast, 61-57, in a second-round Class 2A district game. Lieurance was 10-for-17 from the field and 7 of 8 from the free throw line.

Michael Martin, Iowa City Regina

The senior had 27 points, six rebounds and two steals for the Regals in a 68-57 victory over Wilton in Class 2A district play. Martin rained in seven 3-pointers in 13 attempts.

Eli Menke, Lake Mills

The 6-5 senior scored 29 points – making six 3-pointers – for the fourth-ranked Bulldogs in a 91-55 Class 1A district win over Mason City Newman. Junior Aiden Stensrud had a double-double for Lake Mills with 17 points and 11 rebounds.

Jack Miller, Jesup

The senior rained in 32 points as the J-Hawks edged Denver, 62-60, in a Class 2A second-round district game. Miller ranks seventh in the state with a 26.7 scoring average.

Brooks Moore, Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont

The senior threw in a game-high 27 points for the 17-5 Rockets in a 73-61 Class 2A district win over Mid-Prairie. Moore is fifth in the state in 2A with a 25.9 scoring average.

Matthew Neighbor, Alburnett

The 6-3 junior hit 10 of 15 shots and scored 20 points, helping the 19-3 Pirates roll past Tipton, 61-34, in a Class 2A district contest. Neighbor also had nine rebounds, two blocked shots and a steal.

Lyle Olsen, Hudson

Olsen, a 6-foot senior guard, rang up 20 points, eight rebounds and eight assists for the Class 1A second-ranked Pirates in a 76-27 second-round district rout of Sumner-Fredericksburg.

Lincoln Palmer, East Mills

The senior accumulated 21 points, seven rebounds and six steals for the No. 10 Wolverines in a 67-35 Class 1A district victory over Stanton. East Mills moved to 21-1 with the second-round conquest.

Hunter Putman, Bellevue

The senior chalked up 22 points, eight rebounds, five assists and four steals for the Comets in a 76-40 Class 2A district win over North Cedar.

Cael Reichter, North Fayette Valley

The junior posted an impressive double-double of 17 points and 17 rebounds, leading the 20-3 TigerHawks to a 59-48 win over Waukon in a Class 2A second-round district game. The 6-foot-7 Reichter, who hit three 3-pointers and six of eight free throws, also blocked seven shots.

Toryn Severson, Madrid

The talented junior hit for 32 points, leading the second-ranked Tigers past CAM, 51-37, in a Class 1A second-round district contest. Severson, ranked 10th in 1A scoring, added six blocked shots and four rebounds.

Keegan Soard, South Central Calhoun

Soard, a 6-4 senior, scored 23 points and raked down 17 rebounds for the Titans in a 74-55 Class 2A second-round district win over Eagle Grove. Soard made 10 of 13 shots, including three 3-pointers.

Curtis Stinson Jr., West Des Moines Valley

The junior standout finished with 28 points, six rebounds and five assists as the defending Class 4A state champions closed the regular season with a 79-57 win over Des Moines Roosevelt. Valley, ranked No. 3, closed the regular season with a 16-5 mark.

Gavin Thomas, Aplington-Parkersburg

The senior finished with 29 points, nine rebounds and four assists for the Falcons in a 69-59 victory over Dike-New Hartford in Class 2A district play. Thomas hit four 3-pointers among his 11-for-18 shooting performance.

Evan Vittitoe, Keota

The 6-foot-3 senior made 13 of 15 shots and finished with 28 points as the sixth-ranked Eagles remained unbeaten with an 87-62 Class 1A district win over North Tama.

Mason Watkins, West Burlington

The 6-3 junior threw in 34 points as the unbeaten and sixth-ranked Falcons rolled past Central Lee, 76-59, in the second round of Class 1A district play. Watkins splashed seven 3-pointers.

Jacob Williams, Dubuque Senior

The senior registered a double-double with 12 points and 14 rebounds for the Class 4

A seventh-ranked Rams in a 59-41 victory over Iowa City West. Senior ended the regular season at 19-2.

Luke Winkel, Ankeny Centennial

The senior had 27 points, six assists and four rebounds for the Class 4A 10th-ranked Jaguars in a 59-40 win over Johnston to close the regular season. Winkel was 4-for-7 from beyond the arc.

Luke Wright, East Sac County

The senior came away with 21 points and 14 rebounds for the Raiders in a 63-46 Class 2A second-round district tournament win over Manson-Northwest Webster. The 6-4 Wright, who hit 10 of 13 shots, tacked on five blocked shots and two steals.
