Mckinnis Savoie, North Central boys basketball

The senior scored more than 25 points on three occasions in the St. Thomas More Sunkist Shootout, including a 28-point outing in a 59-47 win over Crowley. The Hurricanes are the defending Division IV non-select state champions.

Kam Williams, Lafayette Christian boys basketball

The 6-foot-8 Tulane signee scored 22 points in a 55-52 come-from-behind win over Brother Martin in the consolation finals of the Sunkist Shootout. Williams also scored 22 points in his team's 53-52 win vs. Isidore Newman and was named to the All-Tournament Team. The Knights are officially 14-1 on the year, with their only loss coming at the hands of an out-of-state opponent.

Ashton Savoie, Washington-Marion boys basketball

Savoie had 16 points with a pair of 3-pointers in the Charging Indians' 47-44 win over Breaux Bridge at the Darrel Mitchell Sr. Holiday Classic in St. Martinville. He also scored 11 points in a 57-38 win over Rayne and 13 in a 44-41 win over Cecilia.

Greg McInnis, Peabody Magnet boys basketball

McGinnis led the Warhorses to a 47-31 win over Southside in the finals of the Darrel Mitchell Sr. Holiday Classic, posting 11 points with a trio of 3-pointers. The Warhorses (12-2) ran through a gauntlet of District 3-5A programs to win the tournament, beating New Iberia, Lafayette High and Southside.

Tazlan Jenkins, Westgate girls basketball

Jenkins' 20 points ignited a 59-34 win over Douglass.

Tristan Lewis, Catholic-New Iberia boys basketball

The junior sharpshooter was named to the All-Tournament team at the Sunkist Shootout. He scored 19 points with five 3-pointers in a 64-57 overtime win over Teurlings Catholic.

Dashawn Ceaser, Iowa boys basketball

Ceaser poured in 28 points in the Yellow Jackets' 67-48 win over Teurlings Catholic with three 3-pointers. Iowa is 11-3 and No. 3 in the Division II non-select power ratings. He was named to the All-Tournament team at the Sunkist Shootout.

Howard Gaskins Jr., Liberty Magnet boys basketball

The Patriots won the East Baton Rouge Parish Tournament title, defeating Scotlandville, 72-62, in the finals. Gaskins scored 26 points, highlighted by a stretch where he accounted for seven straight points. The 6-foot-2 senior is topping the Patriots' scorers with 14.5 ppg. Liberty is 10-1 and No. 4 in the Division I select power ratings.

Sean Hicks, David Thibodaux boys basketball

Hicks had 20 points in the Bulldogs' 66-48 win over Beau Chene. David Thibodaux is 12-3 with the No. 10 power rating in Division II select.

Vivian Sketoe, Lake Arthur girls basketball

Sketoe scored 23 points in her team's 45-44 win over Acadiana. Lake Arthur is 15-4 with the No. 3 power rating in Division IV non-select. She also went for 16 points in a 66-21 rout of Acadiana Renaissance Charter Academy.

Zoe Spain, Acadiana girls basketball

Spann scored 17 points to pace the Lady Rams to a 50-45 win vs. Kaplan. Acadiana is 13-6 with the No. 10 power rating in Division I select.

Justice Young, Arcadia girls basketball

Young was named MVP of the Doc Edwards Championship Tournament. She totaled 14 points in a 56-32 finals win vs. Hornbeck. The Lady Hornets are off to a 19-2 start and are No. 1 in Division IV non-select.

Jayce Depron, Madison Prep boys basketball

Depron scored 14 of his game-high 17 points in the second half of the Chargers' 42-41 win over Captain Shreve in the I-49 Classic. Madison Prep is 11-1 and No. 1 in the Division II select power ratings. He also scored 19 points in a 53-42 win over St. Augustine.

Javonte Thomas, Pineville boys basketball

Johnson was at the top of a balanced scoring attack in the Rebels' 67-21 win over Leesville with 12 points. Pineville is 12-1 and No. 1 in the Division I select power ratings behind only St. Thomas More.

Jordan Comanche, Wossman boys basketball

Comanche tossed in 24 points in a 72-66 win vs. Franklin Parish. The Wildcats are 14-2 and No. 1 in the Division II non-select power ratings.

Dustin Welch, Anacoco boys basketball

Welch led the Indians to a 60-25 win over Many with 14 points. Anacoco is 22-5 and No. 2 in the Division V non-select power ratings behind only Zwolle.

Asia Patin, Southern Lab girls basketball

Southern Lab knocked off Glen Oaks and Woodlawn-Baton Rouge in the first two games of the East Baton Rouge Parish Tournament. Patin scored a combined 39 points with 13 steals, 13 assists and 22 rebounds for the Kittens, who are 11-5 and No. 1 in the Division IV select power ratings.

Shelcie LeBlanc, Carencro girls basketball

The Lady Bears captured the championship at the Darrel Mitchel Sr. Holiday Classic by beating host St. Martinville, 64-33. LeBlanc contributed 18 points to the win for Carencro, which is 13-4 and No. 5 in the Division I select power ratings.

Kaleb Jackson, Rayville boys basketball

In an 80-49 win over East St. John, Jackson provided 21 points, nine rebounds and six steals. The Hornets are 10-6 and No. 3 in the Division III non-select power ratings.

Hayden Ray, Live Oak boys basketball

The Eagles, flying high with an 11-3 record, went 3-0 at the Episcopal Tournament. Ray scored 16 points in a 43-42 win over University Lab.

Jalen Brown, Avoyelles Public Charter boys basketball

Brown scored 25 points and added three steals in a 51-46 win vs. Northside. Avoyelles Public Charter is 12-7 and No. 1 in the Division V select power ratings.

Kado Collins, Ebarb boys basketball

Collins erupted for 36 points in Ebarb's 74-64 win over Homer. Ebarb is 12-11 on the year.

William Lewis, Archbishop Shaw boys basketball

Lewis had 15 points in the Eagles' 64-36 win over Terrebonne. The Eagles are 13-2 and No. 6 in the Division II select power ratings.

Ben Golla, Barbe boys basketball

Golla fired in 14 points to pace the Buccaneers to a 46-42 win over Teurlings Catholic. Barbe is 8-5 on the year.
