Killian has big performance at tournament for top-ranked Cubs
Avery Killian had a huge performance for her team in a recent softball tournament.
Killian, a sophomore for Mount Carmel Academy, batted .444 with two home runs to help the Cubs defeat Kinder, Rosepine and South Beauregard at the DeQuincy Tournament. With those wins, the Cubs moved to 6-0, and they are the No. 1 squad in the Division I select power ratings.
For her efforts, Killian was voted the SBLive Louisiana High School Athlete of the Week for Feb. 19-25.
