Predictions for the Michigan high school football semifinals
The Michigan high school football state semifinals are here, so I've selected a handful of semifinal games to highlight and predict the winners of each.

Here are is who I think will be headed to the Michigan high school football finals at Ford Field.

Belleville vs. Davison
We are now moving into the semi-final round of the playoffs, and we have some great matchups across all eight divisions. In the D1 bracket, Belleville is taking on Davison, and it’ll be interesting to see if the Tigers can be slowed down at all.
They have dominated the postseason so far, and I’m picking them to win again and make it to the championship game.
Winner: Belleville
Waterford Mott vs. Warren De La Salle
Moving into the D2 bracket, we have a terrific showdown between Waterford Mott and Warren De La Salle. A lot of people expected Waterford Mott to lose in the last round against Gibraltar Carlson, but they pulled off the win.
Their run will end in the semis, however, as I’m picking Warren De La Salle to advance.
Winner: De La Salle
Grand Rapids Forest Hills Central vs. Zeeland West
Zeeland West advanced to the D3 semis last week with a blowout win against Parma Western. It was an impressive win, but I’m predicting that their run will end in the semifinals against Grand Rapids Forest Hills Central.
Winner: Grand Rapids Forest Hills
Goodrich vs. Harper Woods
Goodrich vs. Harper Woods in the D4 semis feels like the championship game. These two teams have been on a collision course, and now they will meet.
It’s going to be a great game, but I’m picking Harper Woods to get the win and get into the championship game.
Winner: Haper Woods
Grand Rapids Catholic Central vs. Frankenmuth
Grand Rapids Catholic Central won what was one of the best games of the postseason so far against Grand Rapids West Catholic in the quarterfinals.
With the win, GRCC seems destined for a championship. I’m taking them to knock off Frankenmuth and advance.
Winner: Grand Rapids Catholic Central
Kingsley vs. Reed City
This matchup between Kingsley and Reed City in the D6 semis should be a very close game throughout.
This game feels like a coin flip, but I’m going to pick Kingsley to get the win. Their quarterfinal win against Gladstone was very impressive.
Winner: Kingsley
Menominee vs. North Muskegon
Menominee and North Muskegon is another game that should be very evenly matched.
Whoever wins will likely have their hands full with Jackson Lumen Christi in the championship, and I think it will be Menominee that gets the job done in a close one.
Winner: Menominee
Ubly vs. Beal City
Ubly and Ottawa Lake Whiteford seem to be on a collision course for the championship, but Beal City will be looking to stop that from happening. They should give them a good fight, but I’m taking Ubly to advance to the championship game.
Winner: Ubly
