Orono girls hockey defeats Holy Angels to reach state tournament
The Minnetonka Skippers (25-2) defeated the Holy Family Fire (20-7-1) 4-0 in the Class 2A, Section 2 final.
Neither team scored in the first period. Minnetonka scored twice in the second period. Ruby Rauk scored first and Lindzi Avar followed to put the Skippers up entering the third period.
Senja Leeper added two more goals for the Skippers in the third period, one an empty net goal.
Minnetonka advanced to the state tournament with the win.
