SBLive Missouri Top 25 girls basketball rankings: Teams shuffle as state tournament runs are made
Incarnate Word remains atop the SBLive Missouri girls Top 25 power rankings and will look to move on to the state Final Four this weekend. The shuffling in the ranking continued this week after district and sectional action was completed over the weekend.
1. Incarnate Word Academy (26-0)
The Red Knights won their district over Francis Howell Central and will play Troy in the Class 6 quarterfinals Saturday.
2. Whitfield (22-3)
The Warriors won their district with a win over MICDS and will take on Warrenton in the Class 5 quarterfinal Saturday.
3. West Plains (24-4)
The Zizzers won their district with a win over Rolla and will take on Carl Junction in the Class 5 quarterfinals Saturday.
4. Strafford (24-5)
The Indians won their quarterfinal against Licking and will play in the Class 3 semifinals against El Dorado Springs.
5. Kickapoo (26-3)
The Lady Chiefs won their district final against Nixa and will play Truman in the Class 6 quarterfinals Saturday.
6. El Dorado Springs (27-3)
The Bulldogs won their Class 3 quarterfinal against East Buchanan and will play Strafford in the semifinals Thursday.
7. Webster Groves (23-5)
The Statesmen won their Class 5 district over Lift for Life and will play Cape Notre Dame in the quarterfinals Saturday.
8. Rock Bridge (26-2)
The Bruins lost in the district final against Blue Springs South to end their season.
9. Ellington (24-4)
The Lady Whippets won the Class 2 quarterfinal against New Haven and will play St. Paul Lutheran (Concordia) Friday.
10. Southern Boone (23-4)
The Eagles fell in the district final to Helias to end their season.
11. Blue Springs South (24-4)
The Jaguars defeated Rock Bridge in the Class 6 district final and will play St. Joseph Central in the quarterfinals Saturday.
12. Leeton (24-2)
The Lady Bulldogs defeated Marion County in the Class 1 quarterfinals and will play South Nodaway in the semifinals Friday.
13. Cape Notre Dame (22-6)
The Bulldogs won their Class 5 district over Farmington and will play Webster Groves in the quarterfinals Saturday.
14. Nixa (24-5)
The Lady Eagles fell to Kickapoo in the district final to end their season.
15. Blue Eye (26-5)
The Lady Bulldogs defeated Dora in the Class 2 quarterfinals and will play Wellington-Napoleon in the semifinals Friday.
16. Chillicothe (23-5)
The Lady Hornets lost in the district final to Miller to end their season.
17. John Burroughs (19-4)
The Bombers won their Class 4 sectional match-up against Cardinal Ritter and will play Hallsville in the quarterfinals Saturday.
18. Wellington-Napoleon (26-2)
The Tigers won their Class 2 quarterfinal against Bishop LeBlond and will take on Blue Eye in the semifinals Friday.
19. Delta (27-1)
The Lady Cats won their Class 1 quarterfinal against South Iron and will play Walnut Grove in the semifinals Friday.
20. West County (24-4)
The Lady Bulldogs won their Class 3 quarterfinal against Woodland and will play South Shelby in the semifinals Thursday.
21. St. Charles West (20-5)
The Warriors fell in the district final to Orchard Farm to end their season.
22. Miller (23-4)
The Cardinals fell to Blue Eye in the Class 2 sectional to complete their season.
23. Benton (23-5)
The Cardinals won their Class 4 sectional against Odessa and will play St. Pius X (KC) in the quarterfinals Saturday.
24. St. Joseph’s Academy (19-9)
The Angels join the Top 25 after winning their district final over Marquette and will play Jackson in the Class 6 quarterfinals Saturday.
25. Carl Junction (23-7)
The Lady Bulldogs defeated Willard in the Class 5 districts and will play West Plains in the quarterfinals Saturday.
